League of Legends is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) style game in which two teams of 5 champions battle it out to take down the other's Nexus. The majority of the community abides by Riot's "Summoner's Code", the basic code of conduct for all players. I've often been baffled by the niceness and understanding of other players in such a competitive atmosphere. :) Barrier of entry is small, with depth of understanding scaling with you as you learn more and more about the game.
