Implanation/Fragmentation ScheduleFor a few reasons, I thought it'd be interesting to try to work out the order the AIs were created in and what order in which they were implanted. If anybody has any input with firm evidence that would alter the order, please let me know and I'll update the list!
My idea for the order in which they were fragmented is as follows:
Delta
Sigma
Omega
Theta
Gamma
Eta and Iota (not sure which order they came in, if it matters)
Epsilon
And my proposed implantation order is:
Carolina - Sigma (given up by the time
York - Delta
Maine - Sigma
North - Theta
Tex - Omega (she could've gotten Omega any time from after the heist to just before Episode 13, technically, but it seems reasonable she only got h...

Wyoming - Gamma
Carolina - Eta and Iota (presumably)
Wash - Epsilon
So, some questions. Delta is widely considered to have been the first fragment. I think Burnie may have said that, but I don't have a source. Regardless, it's safe to assume he was the first. Sigma had to have followed fairly closely after, for there to have been time for Carolina to have given him up to Maine (whether or not she was actually implanted with Sigma).
The next AI we see is North getting Theta. After that, we have the scene where the Director tells the Counselor that a new fragment had been created and to find it a match. This is interesting for a few reasons. First, it's said that the process is speeding up. Could that not logically be a result of the Director beginning to use an earlier fragment to torture the Alpha, as Wash stated in season 6? He cited Gamma and Omega, so this hypothetical earlier fragment (probably from before Theta even) must've been one of those two. We don't have a firm idea of when Omega was created or even when Tex was implanted with him, so I like the idea that it's Omega. Supporting this is that the Director told the Counselor to find the new AI (who I've concluded was Gamma) a match; if the new AI was really the one he was going to give to Tex, he probably wouldn't have said that.
Anyway, if the hypothetical earlier AI was Omega, then the new one was probably Gamma. After that, the next two AI we know of are the ones mentioned in Episode 13, Eta and Iota. Wash and South were
supposed to get them (technically, not really--if Carolina'd kept Sigma, Maine probably would've gotten one of the two), but obviously didn't. And now that Gamma and Omega are both implanted, the rate of fragmentation may have slowed down, explaining why just one more AI shows up: Epsilon, the final fragment.
(This is all assuming Xi doesn't turn out to have been a real fragment who MBG gets or something crackpot like that.)
