Delayed DecompressionSorry I was insanely busy this last week and a half with term papers and tests, and Im still not finished with them! But the pay off this weekend was a good five days off to decompress, relax with some friends, watch some Game of Thrones, and hang out with my dog.
I have to say that its been a while since Ive truly geeked out. A few of my friends and I watched the first few episodes of an cyberpunkish style anime called Psycho-Pass, the story is almost Orwell meets minority report. Detectives in the future react to criminals before they commit a crime based on sensors that psychoanalyze citizen, think of it as a computer as an FBI profiler.

I have to say the American revolution setting was great, but I feel that they could have done more with it. And the ending is really neither here nor there. But the game play was solid and overall I did enjoy the experience. Now my next decision is do I go back and try to pick up where I left Dishonored (I only just started the first mission) OR do I go pick up Bioshock infinite (which I have some reservations about the setting)
The rest of the weekend consisted of sitting around the house watching Doctor Who all day with a lead up to the premiere of the new season. While Matt Smith isn't a bad Doctor I just don't feel like he gives the character enough depth, personally I think that David Tennant is the best Doctor in recent years. Smith does show that he has the chops to pull off a darker more serious Doctor, but whether its the writing or his acting he seems to just keep the whimsical side of the character on the surface more often than not.
Then came Sunday, The Day Of Thrones. Free HBO meant only one thing... marathoning all of season 2 of Game Of Thrones with a lead up to the season premier of Season 3! I will stop there because of spoilers.
Finally if anyone is actually reading this I highly suggest getting the album "The Northern Borders" - By Bonobo. It is a fantastically paced and thought out
