Beards and Maps...Aloha folks, how are you doing on this fine afternoon?
I've got some pretty cool things to show you... first up, if you haven't already, go and grab the brand new Beard shirt from the store. It's awesome and I think the photo we took to show it off is one of the best ever. Check it out.
Now then, are you back from purchasing your very own beard shirt? Good... I have something else I want to show you.
Adam has been kicking ass the past couple of days on a tool that is long long overdue. As you may know, I'm a huge fan of creating maps for games. One of the first things I did when I came on to Achievement Hunter was to create the Brutal Legend map with Geoff.
I've always had a soft spot for maps. One of my fondest memories of gaming when I was younger was pulling out the Legend of Zelda map from the first Nintendo Power and going over it. It's one of the most useful things a gamer can have, and now we have some really kick ass tools to make them a lot quicker for you.
So, as of right now, we are launching a brand new sub-section of Achievement Hunter. I'm proud to announce the creation of MAPS.ACHIEVEMENTHUNTER.COM! Dont' worry, we'll have links in the main bars and stuff soon enough.
This is where we'll be putting all new maps for upcoming games. Look out for maps in Darksiders II and Sleeping Dogs next week and I am pretty sure we'll be putting a big one together for Need for Speed: Most Wanted when it hits.
Also, this is a very new site, so some things might be a little busted or broken. Some maps didn't make the transition to the new layout very well, so you might see some unfortunate framing stuff. (If the map was too wide it'll bust out of the frame... check out the Dead Rising II map...) If you do spot a glaring error, let me know in the comments.
I've also gone back and re-created some classic maps like the Assassin's Creed II map and Halo 3: ODST. These now include COOKIES and will help you track what you have and don't have.
Again, I'm super happy with this launch and I can't wait to get to work putting together some collectible guides for you guys.
