Gesars of War 3 ReviewIt has been much too long since i have done a review, but today I am back. For those of you that would read my reviews about 5 years ago I hope you are still around to read this one. So last night I got my hands on an actual retail copy of Gears of War 3. First of I owuld like to say this game is absolutely amazing, however the campaign was a little short, roughly about 5-6 hours. A friend and I ran through it together in one sit in co-op of course. Anyway, back to the game compared to all the other Gears in my opinion this campaign was a little weak. I did have tons of fun and I'm not taking anything away from it at all, I am just saying compared to 1 and 2 the campaign didnt stack up. The Lamnent are rather easy to defeat compared to the regular Grubs. Seeing the Berserker back was rather cool. It was a fairly easy battle just long. There were other memorable moments in the campaign like Cole "Train" having his flashback while in the thrashball stadium, or when Dom returns ro Maria's home town. Once you reach Act 4 the game is just a breeze, especially while fighting the human Lamnent. I would compare fighting them to fighting the flood in Halo, I am actually ashamed to compare Gears to Halo; but that is just the easiest comparison. All in all i would rate the game a solid 9 out of 10, but if you are really looking for some action the multiplayer is where it is at. This latest installement is just the boss, this gamer has never played a multiplayer this fun, addicting, challenging, and just all around good clean fun. Like I said the campaign was short but the multiplatyer more than makes up for it adding hours and hours of fun to the game and it will keep you coming back over and over again especially with the many new game types.
