I've been on here before as Stressed_Out, but it felt weird going back since I haven't been on in months. Let's see- I work as a nanny 8 - 5 Monday thru Friday and sometimes on weekends. Wow, I work a lot. I have a really cute apartment in Farmville. Farmville sucks a lot, but I know how to keep myself entertained! Reading, dancing, music, whatever I ca find to do in times of boredom. Oh, and please only talk to me if you have a brain. PLEASE!

whyWhat is it with kids now-a-days. I babysit for three children, they are 3, 5, & 7.
When I was younger, all I wanted to do was play outside. I would come home from school, scramble to get my homework done, and then I'd run outside and stay out until my parents begged me to come in.
I am very sad to say that the kids I babysit for now are NOTHING like that. They get home, do their homework, and they sit in front of the t.v. or play their Nintendo DS until dinner! That's nearly 3 hours of technology! NO playing outside, NO fresh air, it's like pulling teeth to even get them out the door for 5 minutes to walk their dog!
Does anyone understand what is going on here?! It's maddening! Even when we're outside playing and having fun with tennis or soccer, it's only a matter of short time before they say, "Can we go inside and play games now, please?" What the heck?

*exasperation*

If anyone has advice.. or if someone can please shed some light.. I'd appreciate it.
