Tax Return Spent... So I got my tax returns last week and had every intention of paying off the rest of my car with it.
Instead I was at Best Buy and bought a PS3. I figured that I have been wanting one for about 3 years and every year I talk myself out of it. The week I bought it Best Buy had a deal where if you buy 2 Greatest Hits you get 1 for free, and it just so happened that Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 just became greatest hits the week before. It was like a sign from God. So, I bought Uncharted 2, God of War 3, and inFamous all for $60. Also, Killzone 3 just came out and Sony released a bundle that included the PS3 and Killzone 3 for $299. So basically I got $90 worth of games for free and spent $60 on games.
The other thing I bought a few days later is a Kindle 3. I have been wanting one of these for a few years as well but they were always too expensive for me to justify purchasing it. A few months back the price dropped $80 to $140 and I was tempted again. Instead I waited to see if I would get one for Christmas, that didn't happen. The Kindle was a bit of an impulse purchase because I was going to buy a book that cost $20 to buy at Barnes & Noble. Out of curiosity I checked Amazon and saw they had the Kindle version for $9. Basically I figured that if I bought 15 books that were $10 cheaper, the Kindle would have paid for itself.
Thats what I keep telling myself anyway. And after it all, I still have enough money to make my car payment this month, so at least I did something responsible with it!
