My JourneyA few weeks back I downloaded a delectable PSN title called Journey. After having some time to go over what happened.
My first playthrough was one of wonder and awe of the world I was in. It was simple but elegant and beautiful. Gameplay was simple, jump and chirp but it was still very enjoyable.
Throughout the game you'll encounter other players, with whom you can choose to play with or separate yourself from. My fist encounter was simple, we chirped at each-other, jumped and glided around a bit and helping each-other through the levels. We played with scarf creatures, created bridges and surfed down giant sand dunes. Eventually my partner sat down and I saw him slowly fade away and I was alone again.
I continued my Journey (hehe) and met up with another player. We had fun and saw each other during the last little bit at the end. As we're flying through the last level we loose track of each other, I reach the end of the game I waited for my partner but they never came. So I ended the game the way I started it, alone.
More than a little bittersweet but I immediately jumped in for a second playthrough and was still awed by it.
But alas I have moved on to a game that is treasured to my nostalgia, and my early gaming experience. I am, of course, referring to the awesomeness that is The Legend of Dragoon.
Yea plaything through this again is all kinds of awesome.
Cheers!!
