As RTX 2013 is approaching with much haste (super stoked about that, by the way), I have been trying to coordinate with Internet friends about meet ups, who's buying first round, and the like. Last year, I went with one of my great friends from the non digital realm and we had a blast. Hoping to let the good times to continue I am trying to expand past just going to the convention and hit up 6th Street afterward. Although I had an amazing time doing this last year, I do not wish to repeat some mistakes I made last year.

As RTX 2013 is approaching with much haste (super stoked about that, by the way), I have been trying to coordinate with Internet friends about meet ups, who's buying first round, and the like. Last year, I went with one of my great friends from the non digital realm and we had a blast. Hoping to let the good times to continue I am trying to expand past just going to the convention and hit up 6th Street afterward. Although I had an amazing time doing this last year, I do not wish to repeat some mistakes I made last year.

I went to RTX in hopes of people recognizing me from that one wiggling video, alas, that did not occur. This year I am making an effort to not only have fun but branch out of my comfort zone and actually not be the awkward kid in the corner sipping some liquid courage before sweating profusely and attempting to be social. I did that the first night and promised myself I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. The next night I started drinking beer for dinner and didn't stop until early the next morning. I made some new friends and hit on every girl I saw my buddy told me the following day. Not saying the alcohol was required for me to break out of my shell, but it helped ease the situation.

This year, however, I have already laid plans to meet up with people before, during, and after the convention which is a way better idea than I unsuccessfully attempted last year. Also this group RTX B&A is helping me out and maybe it can help you.

I am super pumped to go again this year. Maybe I will see you, too.
