Reading Suggestions
For those foolish enough to follow me still...

I've got some finishing up to do on my Tolkien and linguistics reading, and then I'm going to be in the mood to launch into something new. I've sorted through some options and I've settled on a few for fiction and non-fiction.

For the non-fiction, which from the following choices would you recommend: Germanic Barbarians in post-Roman Europe, Vikings, or Romans?

For the fiction, I'm looking at a few options. A couple bandwagon options: The Hunger Games trilogy or Song of Ice and Fire series. There are some classics that have been on the to-do list for a while: Don Quixote, some Jack London novels (The Sea Wolf, White Fang, T...

I've got some finishing up to do on my Tolkien and linguistics reading, and then I'm going to be in the mood to launch into something new. I've sorted through some options and I've settled on a few for fiction and non-fiction.

For the non-fiction, which from the following choices would you recommend: Germanic Barbarians in post-Roman Europe, Vikings, or Romans?

For the fiction, I'm looking at a few options. A couple bandwagon options: The Hunger Games trilogy or Song of Ice and Fire series. There are some classics that have been on the to-do list for a while: Don Quixote, some Jack London novels (The Sea Wolf, White Fang, The Call of The Wild), The Count of Monte Cristo, The Man Who Would Be King, or Dracula. Then, there's some historic fiction by Bernard Cornwell on either Arthur (The Winter King and its series) or Alfred the Great (The Saxon Stories). Or, a couple other outliers like World War Z and A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.

So, thoughts?
