10 years of Rooster TeethI was first introduced to Red vs. Blue my first year of high school, and have been laughing ever since. Three or fours years later I joined the site, and my only regret is that I didn't join sooner. My time on the site has been spent watching RvB, the achievement hunter videos, and anything else that comes out. I buy merchandise whenever I can one, because I really like the product and two because I want to support Rooster Teeth. I only wish I could support this group more.
Even though I haven't been on the forums or talked to really anyone from the community I do feel a sense of, well, community. And that is one of the good things about the videos and the podcast, that sensation of...
And that is one of the good things about the videos and the podcast, that sensation of seeing the people of Rooster Teeth on a video or hearing them on a podcast is warming. I guess what I mean is that you start to get to know them a little bit better each time you see them. So that the one day that I finally can afford to go to an event, probably RTX, I already feel comfortable around these people for whom I have never actually met.
Now I don't like to talk about this normally, not because I'm ashamed or anything like that, but because I don't like the kind of attention that comes from what I am about to say. But I feel that in order to truly understand how grateful I am to to this company and everything that it has done for me it needs to be said. So in the fifth grade I was diagnosed with genetic form of depression. Now how most people get depression is they live a life full of stress, anxiety, or, no other way to say this, depression. After a while the brain starts to "malfunction" and not enough serotonin is produced in the brain, causing a very depressed state of mind. Unlike most people I was not lucky enough to have a chance not to develop this problem I was born with it. How this ties into Rooster Teeth is that even though I am on antidepressant
, which don't work nearly as much as they should, I still have trouble finding a positive view in life. What Rooster Teeth has done for me is given me a tool to cope, and a means to heal. With laughter being the best medicine I can stave off my depression and get on with my life.
In short I do not know where I would be without Rooster Teeth in my life. What it has done for me I am indebted for a lifetime. Thank you Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter for seven years of laughter, and congratulation
s on ten years of production.
