-Resident Evil 1/Directors Cut - The best one in the series, IMO.
-Resident Evil 2/Dual Shock Version - Was ok, but not as good as the first one.
-Resident Evil Survivor - Garbage.
-Resident Evil 3 - Not as good as 1 or 2, but still enjoyable.
-Resident Evil: Code Veronica X - Never got around to playing it.
-Resident Evil: Dead Aim - If memory serves me correctly, this one was an FPS. You don't make FPS' out of Resident Evil. Never played, probably never will.

In reply to Cinema_Void, #1: RE:4 will be out (eventually) on PS2, so I think we can add that to the list as well.

In reply to PhatPhil, #4: I don't have a Game Cube, so I have to wait. Then again by the time it comes out for PS2, I could probably find both a 'cube and RE4 in the remainder bin for the same price.

Took your post and modified it since we pretty much share the same opinions.

-Resident Evil 1/Directors Cut - RE 1 was awesome. 2nd best in the series.
-Resident Evil 2/Dual Shock Version - This is where it is at! Loved this game and played it over and over. Leon and his upgradable weapons rocked!
-Resident Evil Survivor - Garbage. (same)
-Resident Evil 3 - Not as good as 1 or 2, but still enjoyable. (same)
-Resident Evil: Code Veronica X - Played it, but never beat it. Didn't 'feel' enough like RE to make me happy. It wasn't horrible though.
-Resident Evil: Dead Aim - This one was an FPS. You don't make FPS' out of Resident Evil. Never played, probably never will. (slightly modified)

In reply to dark54555, #8: Oh yeah, Outbreak and Outbreak 2. I haven't played those, are they worth a look? Anyone know of the not-so-popular Resident Evil game called Resident Evil: Gaiden? It was a RE game for the Gameboy Color! It stared Leon and Barry and was set on a ship. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

In reply to Fish_Bash, #9: I played Outbreak for all of 10 minutes... it wasn't very fun. Give it a look, if for no other reason, so you can say you played it, but I think it was a waste of the $40 I payed for it. I have never heard of this RE: Gaiden... then again, I never owned a GBC.

In reply to Fish_Bash, #9: I liked outbreak, once you play online it gets real fun. You can get Outbreak one for about 20 right now. Really edgy when you don't know if your allies are zombies or not. and you have very limmited time (virus gadge)

In reply to ArKayne, #17: Birkin is by far my favorite monster in the series. Even though many disagree with me, I think he was much cooler than the Nemesis. The movies? ...no comment.

In reply to Fish_Bash, #20: I love the fact that Birkin kept changing forms and getting stronger and stronger. I also thought it was pretty cool how they put him into the opening FMV for Outbreak.

resident evil 4 is the only way to go i definitly recomend it to anyone whose lookin for some good ps2 fun

We bought RE4 for Christmas on the PS2...it's much better than the previous efforts. Leon's weapons are great and playing the extra unlockable games are addictive!

Can anyone confirm the "reports" that they're making Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2? I searched the internet and saw that it has come out in a chinese version, but i'm not sure if they're going to make an english one.

Well, anyway, it's my firm belief that they should remake Resident Evil1-3 for playstation 2 or playstation 3 (leaning towards playstation 2 because playstation 3's going to cost a lot of money) just for graphics.

He hasn't been a main character since Code: Veronica (from what I know) and even then he wasn't the biggest main character, Claire was.
