This series has been the premiere driving sim for consoles since the first iteration on ps1. With gt4, i have found my new obsession. Heres where you can talk about the best driving game yet.
And, the driving wheels are worth the money, if you are into driving games. I want the logitech, but i dont want to drop $150 on a game that would be well spent saving for a cold air intake on my real car :P
hehehe. The game is quite deep. My favorite challange is the quick race through Scwhateverthehellitscalled (the 12 mile german track) where if you crash of go off the pavement, you have to start over!
nice. Ive allnighted it, but in my drunken stupor (dui in videogames is just as bad as in real life :P) only resulted in me buying every pos car in the game and putting 100k in upgrades into all of them!
I really like this game. Unfortunatly, I thought that the multiplayer could use some more work, especially because you cant use the cars from your garage over the LAN, and the fact that there is no online play. Single player, however, is as incredible as it has always been.
it is well worth the money. the logitech has 900 deg. rotation and the force feedback is the most realistic i have ever tried. u really can tell the difference between each of the cars steering characteristics. if u ever have the money, and love the game, u wont be disapointed.
Nah, the license test in GT4 are really really easy, i got all the licenses in a single afternoon, the driving challenges are something else... just have the first 10 and finding it imposible to win the next ten, i'm doing the formula series, fun races against formula cars i finished up begginer and profesional events, and extreme events are fun... i miss my escudo, but i think i can afford it now... no use for it really... also i just have a couple of endurance events to go... i have b-spec most of them... And all that is just arounf 35% of the game...
i'll have to admit, i became obsessed with Need for Speed Underground, beat underground a few times, got 2, beat it once and became bored with it completely... i went back to playing GT3. I hadn't put that game down for about 3 years. now i need to get 4. i have rented it, but haven't had the $$ to actually buy it yet. i feel so ashamed.
In Gran Turismo 3, it took me forever to get 100%, finally i just bought a gameshark for the damned endurance races, and the car you get at 100% isn't worth it. I just got GT4 and i'm at about 42% man this game is fun. just after losing the same race 20 times in a row it gets kinda boring.
I hated how in GT2 when you win a car and you didn't know the make of the car, you had to go to EVERY tune shop to find out which one would tune it. GT3 and 4 got progressively better. I didn't like how they were missing the C6 Corvette and the 2005 GTO. Hopefully when they eventually come out with the 5th in this series, it will be insane and revolutionary to the world of driving simulators as the others were.
