lots of gobbo fans out there it seems.. but no one plays ork??? or ork/goblin?? thats what i always did... my black orks ruled all, along with my night goblins with fanatics :)
Zombie Pirates are great, I would so love an army of them but too many models, conversions and not enough time or cash, However I have a Choas Warband that has the Archoan model but is never him (too expensive) That acts as a Lord. Warhammer is far better than 40K because there are true tactics and lots more to think about.
I sooo love the zombie pirates list, basically due to the fact that you can buy zombies with cannons and handguns, and the best part is they are black powder and cause -1 armour save. They also always hit on a 6 regardless of modifiers, but the drawback is if you roll a one, then it is resolved against your unit. The major drawback to the army list is that there is no magic present at all, just a load of anti-magic heros. Oh well. Nearly finished painting Luthor Harkon, just need to finish his face. I also play 40k but i find it tedious and simple, mainly to attract new gamers to the Games workshop franchise. However it enables for fast and simple games whereas Fantasy can get tedious and repetitve as too much tactics are involved, basically its too much of a good thing, and variety is the spice of life
Yeah but the also brilliant thing about the zombies is the queen bess my god that is powerful and also the things like zombie ogres and deck gunners, its like you could have a rather poor fire fight with jezzials. Yeah magics a bit of a bummer coz u can get the lvl 1 death caster with slanns gold, still zombies with braces of pistols in combat is mean so long as 2 survive against anything they can cause alot of pain.
They look good in all aspects but i still hate them because of the cheesy lets have ten 5 man units and a couple of wizards and a wardancer/Glade Guard unit. Still the new models look great and the rules are well.... cool and yet annoyin.
Yeah an entire tree army looks like a pain to fight as they get the kinda rules beastmen do with the ability to appear fom any board edge, they have specific requirments tho. Still when you got treebeard to the rear, then you no some thin bads gunna happen. Also Glade guard no longer get the -1 to armour from arrows no they get killing blow at half range 15" and they can still set up as scouts within 4" of u so long as there in a wood. Waywatcher lord most annoyin creation except for the special character known as the twins that ride either a forest dragon or a Giant Glade Eagle and I MEAN BIG its not the normal ones but you can only kill them if you kill both of them in 1 phase and yes phase, fail to they regenerate themselves with full wounds. How sick is that if you kill one from shootin then she will have respawned by the tim it comes to combat. Also they each have a magic bow with different properties i forget what they do but they are by far much worse then the tree king.
Personally i believe the Wood elves are going to be really cheesy. Just like that with the nids in 40k, so by the time they are releases everone is going to have an army of them. Its sick i tell you...sick
Yeah but nids are balanced if you can keep them far enough away from you their no threat most dont evan get an armour save against a friggin lasgun and they can be beatin in combat very easily. However woodelves still have been toned down from the ten five man squads and 2 mages. I think they have more minimum requirments now depending upon the season and everything. but the fad will die down soon.
Nids should never get a armour save against a lascanon :)(and they don't) lasgun maybe, not often but sometime if they are pumped up enough. Many times when a "new" army is released everyone wants to play them but with time, as you, it will wear off
yeah well i am playin nids coz i already have the base of an army it just needs some updated models ie carnifex. But yeah hopefully the elves will die off sooner that they started.
Every army has a major weekness. Wood Elves will be the same as the rest. I imagine Dwarves being a pain in the ass. It's the same as it was with Ogres. Everybody was said they are unstopable. But, if you put them against a Dark Elf city guard army or a black powder heavy Empire force, they're just lambs for the slaughter.
Well no range weaponry is alot less effective considerin they get all the benefits oh hiding in the trees and I havent had this confirmed yet but that annoying acorn that sprouts them a free wood may very well still be there so dont get your hopes up with shootting them. Also if the treeman army can appear behind you all your heavy artillery is gunna become usless.
yu can actually make a "fast" moving dwarf army. no arttillery, no anvil, just foot troopers gyrocopters and miners, and a lot of giant slayers :D:D:D always wound on 4+ or better (that is right, right?)
Or you could just go with a very magic based Undead army.... The 2000 point one i regulary play with at the local Games Workshop lets me have a total of 12 power dice and 7 dispel dice, and to top uit off i have 6 dispel scrolls. Using that and the lore of Necromancy i just hope i have enough skeleton models.
