You know, Mr. Beardy says that Korra has ignored the spiritual part of being the Avatar, but I don't know that there's any way to learn how to deal with the spirit world except for actually dealing with it. Aang knew absolutely nothing about the spirit world until he met Hei Bai and Roku. That's what Korra really needs, is a moment like what happened when Roku's dragon's spirit showed up to get him to come to the fire temple for the winter solstice. She needs to meet up with the spirit of Aang. Lazy ghost Aang, he needs to pitch in like Roku did to teach his successor about the spirit world.
Seriously though: I vote this... Just because it'd be nice to see Aang grown up and not old and decrepit... ... ...oh, and the beard (which can be seen in the opening).
There's still hope though, because if there's two things to be said about hippies: it's that they hump like rabbits, and they never leave, ever. So we who knows, we may see his descendant(s).
Personally, I just think the "that's impossible" will be something not too shocking for fans of the old series but shocking to them; e.g. chi blocking.. but perhaps with an added twist of permanence or something...
In reply to Freelancer05, #8158: That would be another thought, could be a couple things... Although I suppose Energy bending is more of a twist... Although the "No bender is safe" line may be debatable as promos can be cut to be more enticing...
