I think Asami won't betray them, but just be resentful. Which would be understandable. Of course that's if she's even in season two, who knows nobody could be in season two, it could even have a whole new Avatar. The self contained season thing would definitely make more sense.
YES! If there was one thing that bothered the shit out of me was how they just left that mystery with no conclusion, everything was wrapped in the finale and then there's that big unanswered question. Also, damn Azula is making a return? That should be very interesting
I'm going to presume that since they wrote a self contained story just for season 1 then I'm guessing that the next time we see Korra it might be a time skip, and not just a few months deal but something in the region of a decade or 2, Then the 3rd series will be her as a 50's adult or something. It is called Legend of Korra, well Legends don't always get created in a few short months, sometimes it takes a lifetime.
I mentioned the same thought earlier, I think it would be great, but I also realized that's it on Nickelodeon and that wouldn't fit their "demographic". Though I must say, it would certainly liven up Nick at Nite.
But really, I wouldn't be upset either way. The only reason I suggest it is that Bolin is the type of guy Asami deserves, and Mako's been a real dick to her, given all the things that have happened to her recently.
People keep fretting about the age difference, and seem to forget that Avatar does not take place in a modern time period. I mean, children go to war. I'm not a big fan of Tokka, but the age difference is not ridiculous in the context of the show. Same goes for the complaints that Sokka couldn't be Lin's father because then she and Tenzin would be cousins. Probably not a big deal at all for them.
