People keep fretting about the age difference, and seem to forget that Avatar does not take place in a modern time period. I mean, children go to war. I'm not a big fan of Tokka, but the age difference is not ridiculous in the context of the show. Same goes for the complaints that Sokka couldn't be Lin's father because then she and Tenzin would be cousins. Probably not a big deal at all for them.
Yes, I understand your argument that it might not be a big deal for them. Doesn't change the ick factor. It's like the end of this last season of Dexter. Ick.

o.o .... That hadn't occurred to me, honestly. meh. Like you said, different time periods, cousins and ages didn't really matter in the olden days. Juliet was only about 13 while Romeo was (I think) in his twenties. Still not as a dramatic age difference as BoLin. Now that has some "Ick Factor."
It's doubtful there will be a time jump. It may not seem like it at first glance, but there were a lot of cliffhangers that can't just be brushed aside.
Zuko's mom discussion Personally, I don't see the Zuko's mom thing as a cliffhanger. She got banished. Zuko made it very clear that Ozai would end up telling Zuko where she is, and it can be assumed that that's exactly what happened. I see no cliff to hang off of.
Actually we find out in the comic that Ozai refused to tell Zuko anything about his mom, at least at the time we see Zuko asking at the end of the series. He probably gets some information later on since there's supposed to be another comic about Zuko finding her.

Yeah, I hope Asami isn't shafted more come season 2. Which is ironic considering my first impression of her was that she was just thrown in there to fuel the shipper war. Now I'm glad she's part of the crew.
