Hey, any people that have read this please post your responces and what you think the book is about. I am reading it for my Societies of the Future class. I am about four chapters in and have not yet gotten to the main story line, or i missed it.
I had to read it for my Literary Narrative class 2 or 3 weeks ago. Don't worry, you haven't missed the main plot yet - it doesn't start up until pretty far in.
Ah, the first real Cyberpunk novel. William Gibson wrote Johnny Mnemonic also, for those who are curious. I have to say I found myself laughing at the stick sizes he used, because at the time the book was written they were huge amounts, but now they're really quite paltry. It really is a great book once you get in to it, but it does take a while to pick up properly. When you're finished with the book, play the game.
