Sex sells. It doesn't hurt that her primary demographic is mostly composed of the sort of guy who thinks any attractive girl who shares common interests with him is soulmate material.
Yeah watching her stream she seems like a nice person, she interacts with her fans a lot.
Also on a side note: I'd prefer watching someone on her level play as opposed to high masters/grandmasters only because that high level of gameplay is almost useless for me to learn from. Sure it's fun to watch pro's play because they have intense matches, but I'd prefer to watch a "bad"(plat/diamond/masters) player so I can relate to that type of gameplay being on that level myself.
i was obviously joking that she was bad, and if you didn't get that then whatever. nonetheless she's not "ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE" but as a pro standpoint she's bad. nonetheless, she's better than 90% of people on the ladder so i guess that's what really matters.
and to be truthfully honest if you're watching streams to learn/improve yourself with - and you're doing that with bad players - then you're never going to improve. even if you relate to them because you're in that range of skill level, you're never going to improve and move on past that point. when it comes to anything starcraft related, just trust me. i've been around longer and am more than likely better than you =/

Please tell me you watch Day9...>.>Does Day9 count as high level? I love me some DayJ

I think yes and no.
You can watch grandmaster level players in tournaments, but unless you've got the knowledge base to know what you're looking for and things you can copy, it's not going to help you much.
A bronze or a silver level player watching Huk or IdrA play isn't going to come away from the match with much other than learning that "Holy shit they play really fucking fast!!!" Watching Thor Von Clemson's advanced fast hand finger wizard micro skills isn't going to help much if you don't know your build order backwards and frontwards. Getting from Bronze to Platinum is a lot more about mastering the intricacies of basic game mechanics, developing macro, and keeping situational awareness. Those people are served much better by watching an explanational video, even if it's just a mediocre platinum player doing the talking.
On the other hand, a Platinum player shouldn't learn anything he doesn't already know from that video, but might learn something from watching Huk or IdrA play.
Of course I watch day9 but that's different from watching a stream. day9 specifically separates pro replays from "normal people" replays, he even says it himself. he breaks down games and explains them thoroughly. completely different from watching a normal stream.
In reply to blood_moor, #32108: When I mean I prefer watching someone my level I mean that in the sense of mechanics, units composition and build order. I'm not good enough at the game to take away from GM players. I don't intend to even be pro, sc2 isn't a job for me. I don't stream to make money, shit I play on a LAPTOP that can barely handle the game. So I don't take it seriously at ALL. It's just a game for me so I don't intend to be the best at it. I have too much other shit to deal with to take it that seriously.
My point is I'd rather watch a stream that's with more casual players better than me. Not pro players, as they take the game far more seriously than I'd ever want to. I watch streams more for entertainment than learning. I probably should've made that more clear. If I wanted to learn how to play better I would go watch day9's newbie tuesday's haha.
In reply to ultrax1, #32109: what did you say? i can't hear you with his dick in your mouth. [/trollface.jpg] ........just kidding dude lol
and what the hell guys. I was just about to quit rt then I come and see 18 replies in this thread. Of course I forget I even have sc2 installed on my computer nowadays. -_-
josh and i were on a team for WCG at one point. znf and i play together regularly. i was 1700 elo at the beginning of this season but via elo decay i am down to 1400 atm
I played LoL, and then Riot released the Sejuani patch. Ms. Boartits That patch had the courtesy of completely breaking what was left of the Mac Beta Client.
Some users managed to get it working again via Wine, so Riot added a memory leak in one of the recent patches. This leak affects a small number of Windows machines with mild performance decreases, but makes anyone with Wine lag to death around the 15 minute mark.
