I have yet to see a thread about Metroid Prime, I've just found some new details on the last game of the MP trilogy. MP3 Details nothing much but its better than nothing.
Well i hope that they make new weapons and suits. There is one thing that should be added and thats more moves i feelt that i was limited of what i was doing in MP 2 so i want Samus to be able to do more moves all together.
I hope MP3 isn't anything like the first two. Recollecting her weapons and suits got pretty lame after the second one. MP1 and 2 were basically the same. Get your armor and weapons, collect artifacts/keys to gain entry to the last region, kill the bad guy. :\
Agreed. I had the first one, and i tried out the second but it was practiacally the same game, it might just be me, but i love the metroid 2-d versions better.
The 2-d versions will always hold a fond place in my memory. I wasn't happy about the jump from 2-d to 3-d initially, and I'm still not. Hopefully they'll get it right this time around.
lol yeh the games were pretty much the same. I got annoyed having to get my weapons back. Hopefully this time they will make it that u have ur weaons but the new weapons r apart of the next world ur saving, cause i like that idea that u have the power of the world in ur hands. i also love the idea of element weapons like in the legend of zelda with the levels anyway. i just love the whole idea of putting an element thingin the game.
The only good thing about Metriod Prime was the fact that if you had a GBA, you could unlock the original metriod. However, it sucked that you had to buy two games just to get that third one.
I would also like to see more abilities added that go along with the hunter skills: Taking bits and pieces of the space pirates (either as trophies or as weapons) Melee weapons A suit that actually allows you to just touch some enemies without getting hurt (think about it: your in a metal lifesupport suit and you walk through some poisenous weeds. YOU ARE IN A SUIT. YOU HAVE LIFE SUPPORT. YOU ARE PROTECTED) And other things that actually make sense and are a little more "true" to real life
Melee weapons would be awesome. Something totally different for the Metroid Prime trilogy. I guess its suppose to be a trilogy, according to the link Raiden gave us. What do you guys think about the Lock On ability? Do you think it makes the game easy?
I think the Lock-On ability is something you NEED. The joystick's movements are a little odd to me, and manually aiming is really hard without a ton of practice.
However, yeah, the Lock-On is too "sharp"...when an enemy zooms past, you spin around, as if Samus is using an aimbot. Perhaps it should lock on a bit "slower"...so that you have to turn more when trying to fire at a fast-moving enemy...
I guess her enemies have to do something with it. They're always so damn fast. I've actually tried playing the second Prime game without it (not the whole game, mind you. Just an area). Almost killed myself. :P
I think that it would be cool to see A 3D metroid in Third Person mode. This way they can add the Space Jump, Running boots, High Jump Boots, Morph Ball jump (which is odd how they couldn't add that in MP1&2) I think that if they did it that way the game could rock so much more ass. Altough in the article it says that are going to be taking advantage of the Revolutions controller's special and new features. So thats something to look forward to right?
Wouldn't third person accomplish the same thing? I personally found the first person aspect of Metroid very difficult to handle after having grown up with the side scrollers.
Wait am I dreaming? I thought there was already a topic about MP 3? Well anyway I'll post my ideas on the subject, that I already posted before. -In all I sure hope they improve the multiplayer mode in MP3. In 2 it seemed all to similar to a game of Unreal Torney. Also, the levels should be more developed and larger. It just seemed way to confined in the last one. -Also could it be possible to add some more weapons, possibly to her left arm. I would love to see some kind of sniper rifle. To me killing a space pirate from 100+ yd. away just seems cool. -And possibly they could add the idea of co op to this game. You wouldn't need another Samus running around either. The co op could have those comandos we saw in Prime 2.
Samus in no way needs any extra Armor lol I mean It takes more hits than Masterchief with 10 over shields. Why would she need bigger armor? have you not seen her Varia suit? or are you refering to the kick ass Light suit? which by the way just rocked major ass!
I will agree with that Statement lol I do believe that the Phazon suit Kicks any suits ass EXCEPT THE GRAVITY SUIT WHICH FOR SOME REASON I LOVE WITH A PASSION!!!!!
The Phazon suit was black. Black is COOL. I just like how she ended up with it. She didn't just collect it. Rofl, I wonder what would happen if she were able to keep her suits. And every time she left a planet, she'd add them to her closet. "Oh, I'll think I'll wear the gravity suit today...wait...no...so many decisions..."
shit if i had any of samus's suits I'd just take over the world MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Why not right? I mean bullets would do jack shit and poison is nothing unless its Phazon lol wait! just use the Phazon suit and your Invincible!!!! sorry I would soo get drunk with power =(
Eh vehicles? i don't like the idea because Samus has never really used vehicles I mean alot of people would take it as metroid being like Halo. When in reality the developers at bungie said themselves that Masterchief originated as male version of Samus Aaran, but they didn't want to make it anything like Samus just have a full suit of technologicaly advanced armor. Anyways vehicles seem sketchy but they might work MAYBE!
Personally, I'd like to see a more involved and complex storyline. The first MP barely had a story at all. The second was a little better but Samus had zero character and the player is never informed as to why she's helping out the Luminoth. I mean, she's supposed to be a bounty hunter yet she helps them even though they aren't paying her or rewarding her with anything like cash or kickass new weapons.
