Holy crap, there isn't an Anthro-Con 2006 thread? Anthrocon is less than a month away, and hotels are basically filled. I just barely got my room, and that was a few months ago. So, if you are out of town, you better hurry up. Also, registration fee goes up at the end of the month.
Time for some ROLL CALL: Who is gonna be there for atleast one day? Anybody volunteering? What are you doing? All general discussion for the Con is also welcome.
ok, you know what, STFU! This isn't a place for poeple to bash the hell out of it! I'm not even a huge fan of the fucking thing, but I'm just going for the hell of it! This isn't a place for people like you to complain about it, I did this just to see if anbody on here was going to be there.
And secondly, what you said would be like me saying anbody who goes to a Comic Con or any kind of Convention (even the ones where RvB members go to) is wasting their lives. So, in others words, you are also saying that the RvB creators are wasting their lives.
Getting back on topic, I'm not going to Anthrocon 2006. I was hoping to but I'm short on funds and I'll be 18 just after the show ends, so I'll go to the following one (2007).
For those who don't know, Anthrocon is a huge event for artists and fans of anthropomorphic art. Fans and artists from around the world join up at this conference to share, discuss, and even sell/purchase art. The event is dominated by furries but is attended by people from all aspects of society and the world.
If you want to know more about the specifics of Anthrocon, see the link located in the first post...
I would go if I had the funds for a flight ticket. Even though "furries" are not really my thing, I would go just for the hell of a good time. I've heard some of the cool stuff they do.
I've been to Sugoicon 2005 in Cincinnati, Ohio and let me tell you, I felt right at home being a anime fan and all... At any rate, i'm afraid those sort of conventions are too out there in terms of sheer oddity for me. I've heard some horror stories from Two ( www.ranting-gryphon.com so yeah... Listen to his rants and 2-Sense, they're all quite funny!
