I havent seen a discussion of this one yet. When I saw the news of the suspect arrested in Bangkok I started to feel very guilty bc I thought (like many others) I thought the Ramseys were behind it. A friend of mine almost instantly said something was suspicious about it. I am starting to think so to the more I hear. So, what does everyone think? Has the killer been caught finally or is there something amiss here?
Also, how does everyone feel about how (assuming he is guilty) the Ramsey have been convicted by the public? I mean I still remember the South Park that had the Ramseys in it.
Well according to the press (we all know how far we can trust them) he has already confessed to drugging her, sexually assaulting her, and "accidentally killing her." I don't know what to think, all I know is it is going to be very hard to find an unbiased jury for this trial.

Pheonix: Yeah tell me about it. From what I am hearing of his past I almost dont care if he is guilty of JonBenet or not just so long as he is in jail. However, there are some inconsistencies. His X-wife that doesnt even like him says he was with his family during the time of the murder. Then there was his behavior and mannerisms when he was paraded in front of the press (yet another odd act, I mean you would have thought he just won the olympics). He just seemed very disoriented and for lack of a better term "on dope" Now, someone who was in the thai jail with him is saying that he said he didnt do it when he was locked up (though this could just be fear of reprisals). There really is just something not copacetic here
i have an opinion about whats going on with this sudden appearance of john karr? i don't much information on this or anything else but i just feel like it- the whole thing is a distraction meant to distract us from whats really important and going on with the US which is the war. although i don't follow the war and whats really going on with it, i still hear bits and pieces from news now and then. it seems like and has been for awhile that the whole terrorist cause is losing momentum with the public. people are starting to think it really is just about the oil and less about terrorism. who could/would come up with such a story about jon benet and use or get the media to participate is beyond me. but thats just what i get out of all of it. if its controversial its supposed to be so we don't talk about other things that we would be talking bout. which is hezbollah, terrorism etc. i mean i hear some stuff on tv and it just seems unreal to me the opinions that some people hold about muslims, certain leaders, the US whos doing what and why. i guess i'm not sticking to the point of the thread i just get carried away sometimes. i'll go look at other threads meant for this

There doesn't have to be a reason to care. I remember the case when it happened and how everyone thought it was her parents, me included over the years, and I'm interested to see that they may have actually caught the guy.
Plus I actually care about people other than myself.
But this little girl had been turned into what basicaly amounted to a pedophilic sex object. It was obviously an entrapment case. Unfortunately, the killer was too good for them and got aaway with it, despite it being such a set up.
I don't know enough about JonLethal to dislike him. Never talked to him either. But I do care about the Ramsey case because a girl was murdered for no apparent reason, I'd like to find out why and who did it.
It doesn't matter if people care or not about the case, obviously a lot of people do so I don't quite understand why he has to make such a big deal about it.
