Ok...I searched and searched, and could not find a remotely related topic. I'm sure for some unknown reason I missed it, but whatever, I'm tired.
Anyway, the real reason for posting other than sheer boredom, is to discuss announced and possible candidates for the coming presidential election. It's over two years away, but hey, who knows, maybe we'll make some good predictions. Or some ridiculously embarrassing ones which we will be ridiculed for for years to come. To kick things off, here's a list of announced candidates, according to Wikipedia, if there are others I appologize:
Democratic Party: Senator Joesph Biden of Delaware Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut Former Senator Mike Gavel of Alaska
Republican Party: John Herman Cox of Illinois (yet to win a primary, much less an election)
Libertarian Party: George Phillies, Physics Professor Doug Stanhope, Comedian Steve Kubby , Libertarian Activist
Well, that's really it as far as announced candidates go.
Personally, out of whats there, and being that I'm presently a Democrat backer, I'm a fan of Joseph Biden and have been since before the announcement of his candidancy. He's a very prominent, outspoken member of the Democratic party, whom I agree with on many points. Granted there was the "controversy" over what he said about Indian American's, I do not believe he had any malicious or racist intent when he said what he did.
At any rate, that's where I'm at right now. I don't know though, it's been so long since we've had a President who wasn't from the South, I don't know if this nation can handle that. Maybe Delaware's close enough so Biden will be ok.
No, no, no, fucking hell no. It's way too fucking early to be putting this up. Maybe a little over a year from now will be fine, but holy fuck we seriously do not need this thread now.
Mods, for the love of God, please lock this thread!
