I am shocked that this doesn't already have it's own thread. I, personally, thought that the last game was a piece of crap for the most part, but they might be able to fix that with this game. Anyways, here's some facts:
-The game will feature up to four player play through Wi Fi and possibly online play -Most of the features that were found in the orignal Crystal Chronicles will make a return -The game will use the motions sensor, although it is still unclear as to how it's going to be used -There will be no chalice this time around, each charcter has there own crystal (thank god)
Speculation/unconfirmed info:
-The game will feature summons -The game will have more depth then the orignal CC
What do you think? Is it possible for this game to not suck?
I didn't care for the first one. I think it'll be interesting to see how the motion sensor is going to be used. I don't know if I'll buy it, but I will more than likely rent it to see what it's like.
i liked the first game!! i rented it so i never beat it... can you beat it? anyways the initial reason I rented it was because the characters looked cool... sweet designs! thats what 90% of my art is, Character design so im kinda drawn to cool characters... (hah get it DRAWN to.... punny!) but i enjoyed it!!! I kept making new characters tho.... cause i wasnted to see them all... but i think i would play the new one!!
Having removed the chalice and having online play definetly got me interested. Summons should be great to see, considering how good the art was in the GC version the art within this one should be even better.
I really enjoyed the first, but I played my way through it with three other friends, with gameboy's. I could see it sucking as a single player game, but the multiplayer aspect of it really worked for me.
im glad to hear that the MP is good cause i really really wanted to play it but no one i know (who has a conector cable, and there are few) would play wit hme...poo!
I never even played CC non-multiplayer. I played through maybe 20 hours or so total with a couple of friends. I don't remember it much, I just remember it was genuinley fun. Except for all the dead GBA batteries. That sucked.
I didn‘t really like the first CC. The health system as hearts kinda made me think i was playing a FF-ZELDA crossover. The story wasn‘t bad, but my favourite FF games will always be 5 and 7. Hopefully the second CC game is kick-ass. lol
**also, i apologise for the retarted spelling and/or grammar, because my brother's on the comp.us so I have resorted to “wii typing” as i like to call it lol. and i'm just too damn lazy to spell-check right now.us :p
New comobs to make more spells would have been nice rather then graviton +1 or include attacks to be comboed as well.. great idead, porr finish, i expect more from teh 2ne... aslo I liked the chalis since it focred the t eam to work together and kept everyone on screen.
I really enjoyed the first one, even though the combat got boring after a while. It was just the great atmosphere and music that drew me in. Years after last playing it, I can still remember the music to Damon's Court and Moschet Manor.
as long as you werent a final fantasy fanboy the first one wasnt all that bad and was a good standalone game. But there is definetly room for improvement with Crystal Beares. Summons, more detailed stats and equips are a must have as far as im concerend
I would love to have multiplayer without the need of Gameboys. I loved the game mostly for not only its great gameplay, but the incredible scenery as well. The game was a well balanced mix of detail and combat, which made it such a great game to me.
The game had incredible potential, but there were several things that brought it down big time. The MP would have been awesome if they didn't make it near impossible to do and didn't have a stale battle system (press A till enemy dead. Talk about innovation!!). Also, a little more depth in the development system would be appreciated.
The differences though is that the game is more linear then the first ones caravan route world map and I don't think you have too carry the little crystal fountain too stay alive and it is more story driven like other Final Fantasy games.
Crystal Bearers and the Promised land of the returning king are two different titles. Crystal Bearers is a full fledged Wii game (And it's single player :|) and PLRK is a Wii Ware game.
make that 2 who beat the first took forever get leg wpn for me and my friends but not as bad as people said and i liked the new ds 1and singleplayer is slow without friends ffcb may get here this winter
