I've never played a TCG before... but this game looks really cool... I was mostly interested in the Eye at first because I like the editing software they're making for it... but this game looks awesome. The only thing is, I can't see myself buying any cards, I'd probably stick with whatever it comes with...
I preordered it from the EB Games website, and it said it was supposed to ship yesterday and arrive today. However, sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, the date was changed to show it shipping today.
I won't be playing Eye of Judgement until tomorrow. :/
I got it yesterday, I checked Best Buy's website in the morning to see if they had it and they didn't... I checked again at about 12:15 and it said they had some in stock, so I went straight over there, and I didn't find any... but after about 20 minutes the guy came out with a cart full of them. They hadn't been shelved yet. I haven't gotten to play a game yet though, I finally got around to it last night, but I don't have good lights in my living room so the camera had trouble reading the codes... I had to use a pocket flashlight to light up the cards, but even that didn't work because I couldn't keep them all lit at once.
Nothing against the camera though, I love the camera.... very good quality, I've always had lighting trouble in this room though... all the lights are really dim, and there's no central light. It's a good room for late night romance... but not for epic card battles.
During the day, I didn't have any problems reading the cards, but once it started getting dark outside, my poor lighting didn't do much for the game. I also broke out the pocket flashlight, and that seemed to work okay for me whenever it had trouble finding the cards.
What do you think of it so far, from what you've seen? My roommates and I and another friend played it pretty much all day yesterday. We bought the Biolith and Fire theme decks, and a bunch of booster packs. I'm really enjoying this game. :)
I enjoy it too, online is a little bit slow because if you're opponent doesn't have chat enabled you're just waiting for them to make a move... but I like the strategy involved... And some of the cards are just plain awesome... I haven't decided if I'm going to buy any more cards than what it came with though...
I'm a pretty bad player so far... I've beaten the computer like ONCE... on BEGINNER!... And I have like 4 Honor points online...
It seems like I always get it to where both my opponent and I are in Check.... and my opponent always happens to draw something really strong while I'm stuck with weak summons on the board... so he takes out one of my guys and places his fifth. I swear, every battle has ended that way, I have bad luck drawing my good summons...
I'm using the starter deck.... I haven't had a chance to go out and see who's selling the cards... I'm kinda on a strict budget though, I'm saving my money for Rock Band, and so I can buy my girlfriend and my family gifts this holiday season. Also I need grocery money...
I don't know that I'll be buying a whole lot of cards, especially since there's bound to be expansion sets, I'd LIKE to buy a whole booster box of every set that comes out... but I don't have that kinda money to throw around...
