1) Not my first post here. 2) Wasn't yelling. 3) I didn't say anything about how you post too much. But to be clear, I am now. 4) I didn't tell anyone to do anything. I suggested. 5) As if I would base my actions on whether or not you care.
OMG LOOK It only took one post to put all my thoughts together in a clear, concise manner, where I DON'T flip out over nothing. I'm glad it's been established that I'M the asshole. Has anyone ever told you it's a waste to get mad at the internet? I can see why people don't like you here. I think I'm going to go back to lurking. I'd like to not get dragged into a baseless argument.
As for the rest of the thread, I'd just like to say thanks for all the links, pictures, and occasional relevant debate. I very much enjoy it. Especially Wendy's gifs.
I don't think his character deaths have been unnecessary, he always has a reason for them, but I'm concerned he's getting into the M. Night territory where everything M. Night had to be IT'S A TWIST and now everything Joss does has to be AND THEN SOMEONE DIES.
Well, apparently not. I was reading an interview today with Marvel President Kevin Feige, and apparently the character death was his idea. And it was because JJ Abrams killed Spock's mom in Star Trek.
One of the original Avengers in the 1960s comic books was Ant Man, a character given to Edgar Wright (Shaun Of The Dead) to develop. Unfortunately, Wright was slow to deliver.
"Edgar's still working on that project, and it's closer than ever," says Feige. "But it's been eight years we've been working with him, and we finally decided we couldn't keep putting more people in. If Ant Man had come out four years ago, it would certainly have been part of the puzzle."
Ant Man and his girlfriend the Wasp remain on the drawing board as future Avengers characters.
PS: no spoilers in the link. But there IS a story about SamJack being investigated for leaking the script.
I actually agree with you about Jon Snow. A lot of my friends are into his actor, and I'm really not that impressed. I love Jon in the books, I'm disappointed in the actor so far. On the other hand I wasn't that into Robb as a character and I really like his actor.
I feel sort of the same way about Sansa Stark. In the book I always found her to be rather boring but for some reason every time she's on screen I'm just transfixed by the level of suffering that is held just below the surface by the actress. Something about her is just so hauntingly beautiful, tragic and symbolic...like we're literally watching the death of childhood innocence as it faces the real world. She just fascinates me. Otherwise Arya is spot on and my favorite character in both the book and the show
I like Sansa in the books, besides Clash of Kings. In Game of Thrones, very little happened around her. But with Clash of Kings, she is forced into a situation that is entirely possible for some people: Being forced into a marriage with the biggest dick in the universe.
Puma's old guard of this thread, lots of people like him Some people love him. well, just one guy loves him, and their love is a weird and hairy love.
This thread's got a lot of history, and a lot of people bitch and snack at each other. The main thing to keep in mind is it's 99.9% just internet persona, and we all know each other so well we don't even notice the harshness of some of our posts.
Thought I'd remind people, just so that some sort of flame war doesn't begin over it because someone forgot (or didn't know, in the case of new people):
If you got -1 Lame'd for your 3rd+ post in a row that had no actual content but to make a joke about multi-posting, that was not one of the guys you've been arguing with. That was me. Just my personal protest, a carry-over from the retarded "Hat trick!" days of the thread.
Most of you remember, I'm sure. Just didn't want a misunderstanding about negs to turn into something.
It's one thing to say some people get fatigued or annoyed with me sometimes. It's another to come in here and claim to know what the entire thread thinks of me. But we can all make assumptions. For instance, how you're a presumptuous twat who pays for the ability to edit posts on the internet and watch shitty web shows early. To each their own I guess.
Can you please become a Sponsor, and then act like one by editing your posts? Please?
I guess cause you said please. Are you one of those people who goes around to people in a library and ask them nicely to not breath so loud? Keep that bullshit to yourself, because I really don't want to hear it. I multipost sometimes. It happens. I made a joke about it, and you come out of lurking just to comment on it. Don't act like I'm not the one who started this.
I think I'm going to go back to lurking.
Best decision you've made all day. Wouldn't want to drag you into a baseless argument or anything. See you later cunt.
Yeah I didn't see this post before I posted... don't get me wrong, I don't want my post changed, I just wanted you to know I wasn't trying to insult you by posting a negative post right after you tried to keep the peace.
Also neg me all you want Mr. Data. Noobz put me in the rage mode.
claim to know what the entire thread thinks of me.
But we can all make assumptions.
Oooooooooooh, I see.
Are you one of those people who goes around to people in a library and ask them nicely to not breathe so loud? Keep that bullshit to yourself, because I really don't want to hear it.
Well if you didn't sound like a horny bison trying to mount a diesel truck, then I wouldn't have to ask. Everyone else just seems to have gotten used to it. I'm just practicing that whole "assumption" thing I keep hearing about.
Best decision you've made all day. See you later cunt.
I bet if you go in the bathroom, face the mirror, turn out all the lights, and say my name three times I'll bet I'll appear.
Wouldn't want to drag you into a baseless argument or anything.
Too late. Thanks for the concern though. Maybe next time you could put in a little more effort, just for me? On an unrelated note, do you have a little "Preview" button right there next to the "Submit" button?
Sansa grew on me. I didn't like her initially but that was because I got sick of her swooning over Joffrey pretty fast, since it was apparent to everyone but her that Joffrey is Kid Hitler. Kitler, if you will. But as time went by and she wised up, I grew to sympathise with her and looked forward to her chapters.
Although to be fair, I looked forward to her chapters because that was when we got to see the Hound. Sandor Clegane, that's my favourite character. He's awesome, and I feel like he's been underused in the show. I took issue with Littlefinger telling Sansa his backstory, since that was a defining moment in the books for his character, the way he utterly terrified Sansa by being a monster yet telling a story that made him sympathetic. That was when I first took notice of him as an actual character, and the show clipped it.
My biggest problem with the Hound in the show, though, is something that's been brought to my attention by CA, a guy at work who watches it. CA has not read the books, only seen the show, so when we discuss things I'll toss out changes and get him thinking. When I mentioned the Hound isn't as bad as the bastard he seems to be, CA got confused. The show, apparently, has done a piss poor job of protraying the Hound as a bastard. CA was under the impression that he was an OK guy right from the start, killing the butcher's boy notwithstanding. The defining moment of the Hound's character, for CA, was when he saved Tyrell from his brother Gregor, the Mountain. When he mentioned it I went back and he's right, the Hound isn't portrayed with much negativity at all, which is disappointing.
jesus christ??? another n00b? and this one trying to tell people how to behave and how to post? what gives these asstard n00bs the idea they can come in here and preach to us how to behave??? Guess we need to reinstate the n00b-bashings to keep this new generation in line!
