I was talking about Avengers just a bit ago and my dad goes "So, who has the red car?" To which I'm "Huh?" since he hasn't seen the movie. It took me a second to realize that he might be talking about Tony's car which is more Burgandy I would say.
Anyway, turns out that several months back while my dad was on I-40 he passed two car carrier semi's that was hauling the Sheild SUV's, completely painted up with the Logo's etc. He just now thought to mention this to me, along with a 'and there was a red convertable tucked down in there with them'.
After much discussion and showing him the "Let go do Science" image a few pages back, we decide that my dad saw that car and somehow thought it was red, maybe it was how the light lit it. Who knows.
But anyway, makes sense, seeing as the movie was filmed in Chicago and the best way to get from Chicago back to LA via road is Route 66 which would be taking I-40 and connecting to I-44 at Tulsa.
And on a related note, apparenty the Tumbler will be in Tulsa on Tuesday at our local IMAX... gonna see if I can get a chance to see it before it heads to the next IMAX.
My mom and I saw it together (her first time seeing it; my third time) for Mother's Day. Twas still exciting for me. Of course I think part of the enjoyment for me was turning to my mother after the movie and asking her what her favorite part was and her response being:
"Well it's hard to decide what I liked best, Captain America's dreamy eyes, Loki's brooding tortured sexyness or Tony Stark's everything but I'm going to settle with 'Hulk Smash'"
