what I dont get is why people cant just enjoy a good movie. No movie is 100% perfect....any of us can pick apart any movie if we really wanted to....but why? what purpose does it serve to rip apart something made for pure entertainment value. If you dont like something then you really shouldnt waste your energy complaining about it.
I feel like the movie captures the essence of the character of Bruce Banner, whilst also effectively showing the essence of the Hulk. It doesn't bore us with a long origin story, only really devoting a few minutes to it. A great storyline, an interesting villain, and showing the great, geeky, introverted personality of Banner.
See, I didn't feel like Banner came off as geeky at all. I think he should have, but Ed Norton's character always felt to me like an action hero just trying to keep a low profile until it was time to start fighting. I felt like they totally missed the point of the Banner character. The way Ruffalo played him in Avengers I thought was way closer to the mark. Nerdy, unassuming, tortured but not in an overacted way.
I liked the way they did Hulk, and the bad guy was ok, but the story was really kind of blah. It felt like a fetch quest in a video game. Mr. Blue says, "I can't help you until you go and find X random item." Then he runs into bad guys on the way, gets the item, and completes the quest and gets a reward that doesn't help at all in the long run. It's like Hulk is grinding out levels in an MMO or something.
