Here are a few questions.. is it due to him being older? What are the thoughts here of an older woman dating a younger man? Guys would you date an older woman? Like say 5-10 years your senior? Or is it just more excepted when an older guy dates a younger woman?

How about four years, because that's the biggest sexy-time gap I've experienced, though I've had a few instances of discussed hook-ups with women at least 8 years older than me but distance was always an issue.

As far as the Mags Rogue thing, I think it's because over time what was acceptable for centuries (men with decades on their wives because most men didn't have steady incomes till their thirties) has become a bit creepy because of women have more job opportunities than housewives or that oldest of occupations. Nowadays the concept of the "cougar" is much more in Vogue.

Every time I hover over one to click it, I talk myself into the other, only to repeat the process. I have difficulty choosing because I liked different things about them.

Yeah, it's not one of my favorite pairings either... but my friend has a theory that Rogue only hooks up with him because she's afraid of committment with Gambit, esp now that her powers are under control, so that kinda makes sense (but it could be fan-rationalisation). Hopefully this whole thing is over. Once the Avengers x X-Men arc is done, the Legacy comics are going to gear away from being so Rogue-centric (and she's already not talking to Mags anymore) so hopefully that's the last we see of that.

Weird, since I just watch Serenity last night.

I'm going to explain my answer this way. Firefly works a lot better as a show than a movie. More time with each character, more development of relationships. And as a whole, the show's writing is better than the film because it was allowed to take it's time. I kinda like these people meandering through life trying to make their way avoiding the authorities. The urgency of the film kinda took away from those quieter moments of the show.

Avengers was the final release after the furious stroking of 5 films promising helicarriers and destroying of worlds. Avengers was absolutely needed and exceeded our expectations.

Serenity was sort of a truncated second season that we never got. I love the film, but I would have rather seen them explore that story over 20 episodes.

Nat is 6 years older than me. I dated her for 5 1/2 years.

I've had a couple hook-ups with one woman 20 years my senior, but that's not the same as dating. Also she was a terrible kisser.

Maybe they just kissed differently back in caveman times.

Sorry took me a bit to respond, it's probably because he is literally old enough to be her grandfather. There's a ten year difference and there's like a FORTY year old difference. I'd feel the same way if it was woman with a boy. I don't find Harold and Maude a romantic movie at all. I find it intensely creepy.

I'm okay with 10-15 years depending on the couple, and that's any gender being older or younger. I've met couples with 10-15 years in between that really work, and hell met couples the same age that didn't. But I do think there's a line and when the age is too vast between them, there's a lot of maturity and power problems and it makes me squint at people.

At the end of the day if it makes people happy, whatever, but I can still get squicked out by Mags/Rogue and Harold and Maude.

My grandparents on my Dad's side were 9 years different in the other direction, with my grandfather being older. They were married for an incredible number of years, until he died last year at 93.

I agree. One of my best friends, her guy is about 11 years younger than her. She met him online about 5 years ago? Anyway, 2 kids later and I have never seen such an ideal match. It's eerie really.. To meet them you'd almost wonder if they were related. Same skin tone, hair, body frames, even same personalities..but he is from overseas and she is Canadian. I don't think her dad traveled lol.

They broke up after the events of Fear Itself. He became the Avatar of Cytorak after Colossus became one of the agents of the Serpent. She got all mopey because, according to her, it was great that he was willing to die for her but she needed someone willing to live for her. Spoilers because I don't know if people have finished reading Fear Itself.
Cool. That makes sense. Also, he got really angry at that point (influence from the gem), and, as Pym and Batman can attest, angry and relationships don't mix. Also, correction: Juggernaut was the agent of the Serpent, not Colossus. Colossus took the gem because otherwise Juggernaut was double-magic powered, and truly unstoppable.

God I hated Fear Itself...
Really? I thought it was excellent. Did you read the tie-ins? I think those helped to flesh out the story better. I thought it was the best major crossover in several years.

Yeah I know a few successful couples with age differences. Hell I've dated people a chunk older than me. Rogue/Magneto though is freaky. He's older than whoever her father was, a lot older. Plus you know. Kind of psychotic.

To me, it has more to do with how big the age difference between the couple is mentally rather than biologically that determines if a relationship will work or not. There are some girls who are hitting their 20s that are as mature as a 14-year-old spoiled brat, same thing with guys. Then there are people who are 18 and are mature and intelligent enough to pique the interests of someone in their 30s.

These days if you can be considered a successful couple then count your blessings.. seems so many people I know are either going through shit, divorce or rough patches. Yeah there is that about Magneto.. :)
