Scimitar's blade collection...

Main driver/work vehicle: 1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT, all stock except for the seats, a short throw shifter, and a cheap-o Sony radio

And my drive for anything-but-work vehicle: 1970 Chevy Nova, 350ci, 4-speed manual, still has some work in progress, but can be driven at a moment's notice

Bring out the big stuff!

BTW, how am I on the reg list but SorvatS and kokopelli73 not?

Lol, yeah. It's not as awesome as it seems, it was listed for sale in the classifieds in the Finish Line section above the Superperformace cars. Still, I get to say that my car was in R&T. Thats the first pic I ever saw of it.

As for the plate, yeah, it kind of caught on for me. My goal is to have all 3 of my cars have IA3471 on the plates. It can be done, since I can get a waiver for "year of manufacture" plates for the Mini, which means that I only have to display those and keep the new plates in my trunk. Then I just need to get custom plates for the Supra, and have customized antique plates for the Simca.

I believe I called dibs on the 5th iterations of both GCD and PYC about a month ago. I'll find the post if I think of it later.

Bottom of page 317 in PYC 2.0, post #9505, I called dibs on the 5th iteration of all stickied threads in the garage.

I forget why, though.

Doesn't one of the other regulars restore/collect antique tractors?

That'd be me. I guess I'll post a couple pictures since you asked.

First restored tractor: 1946 Farmall A:

Current restoration project: 1962 Farmall 504 Diesel

I also have a 1940's era Farmall B (same as the A only narrow front instead of wide front), A 1930's era Farmall F20 and a 1950's era John Deere styled A.

I know i was driving around in the golf cart when i had to set the cones up and just kinda had to stop every time and just stare at it. Then that caviler omg.............the kid thought he was such a badass in that car. Then he was all saying he was getting nitrous for it in about 3 months. I sat there listening to this thinking. "Its an automatic for one.....you wouldnt have the money to get the motor work needed to run nitrous....so even if you could get it you would run it blow the motor then be fucked."

But on the plus side if he did that it would be out of my town. lol

automatics are fine on V8's if you know how to race with one but not on a 4 cyl

4 cylinder automatics make me cry :_(

Manuals are better on everything, I like to have full control over my car despite the number of cylinders. Plus no auto can be nearly as fun.

dude you just need to accept the fact that in some cases, a manual is better. Yes an auto is great. I like the auto in my new ranger. but in some cases, a manual is just better.

Manuals to me are better on the street just because theyre a blast to drive nothing like dropping the clutch at 6000 rpm!

But autos are better for consistency at the track no matter how good you are at a manual youre gonna make a mistake once in a while cant argue that! Plus transbrakes are like the bees knees! (sorry)

I think ive started a heated conversation about auto vs manual
