so strength and force make someone a brute....I guess Superman is the biggest brute of them all then.
you are not stubborn, you are wrong. While Bane is most certainly a brute like character, his intelligence and tactical thinking makes him far more dangerous as a brain, than an arm.
If you want a mindless brute, go with Solomon Grundy....he is the epitome of mindless brute....above that, ManBat, and then KillerCroc round of the most obvious brutes in Bats gallery.
Bane is far closer to the danger of the Joker than he is to any of the brutes.
The first trailer in my opinion had me, it gave just enuff for me to want to see it. This new trailer .. ugh i dont know it seemed a little cheesy, i dont know why but it gave off a bad vibe, which i didnt expect after seeing the first trailer. Oh and Anne Hathaway in it i had heard about a while ago but seeing her play a part now ... Ugh , i love her in most of her work , mostly comedy roles but for some reason she seems to be a little too cliche for this role in what is supposed to be a serious movie. Idno if anyone feels what i feel, this is just my opinion lol either way im a big Christian Bale fan so this movie will most likely get my money.. to bad no joker :(
Did anyone else notice the huge amount of Tumblers driving around in the trailer? I got a little too excited when I saw two of them and the Batwing all at once, had to switch boxers...
Dear newly invested DKR enthusiasts, please refrain from filling the thread with blatantly obvious observations and ill formed opinions based off of trailers. Now if there is an actual basis for what you are thinking, please express it in a well thought out statement complete with an examination as to the nature of your disdain. Thank you for your time.
that being said, this movie looks like it may be a lot more violent than the last two. Nolan is definitely presenting a climax and resolution to the trilogy here, but the scene with the stadium caving in has me wondering how he's going to keep it from being maybe a little too much. i like the pure intimidation that bane offers, and it makes me wonder if that isn't just going to serve as his grand declaration to Gotham that their way of life is nothing but a toy for that he can all to easily take away.
I thi nk the ge neral consens us of the rumor mill is that Bruce Wayne will die and whatever cop character Joseph Gordon Levitt is playing will take up the man tle of the B at, and probably have to take out Bane .....thats assuming Wayne didnt conquer him and die in the proc ess.
I like the tone of the film regarding how it relates to current events. The uprising that Bane seems to be leading against the powers controlling Gotham seem very similar to the various protests around the world in the last year or two. I don't know what the site is called, but a website had this forum with spoilers about the movie and stated Liam Neeson was spotted on set while they were shooting the movie. Not to mention they are doing flashbacks to when Ra's al Ghul was younger, and it is confirmed that Miranda Tate (as she is known on imdb) is actually Talia. I'm currently operating under the assumption that Bane is the new general leading the League of Shadows against Gotham (since they've been trying to destroy the city for years). Something that was talked about in the forums was that the movie, while they did not recast the Joker, might have a reference in the movie about how he may relate to the LoS. He's obviously too much of an insane anarchist to be an agent, but I think it's perfectly reasonable to think that Nolan's Joker was a normal person brainwashed by the League and released into the city to cause panic and destruction. I know I'm being speculative, but the fact that the LoS was involved in the first and third movie, but not the second is more unbelievable to me.
definitely more than last time since he's finally fighting someone who seems to be his equal. I can not wait to see the extent of Bane's badassery. It was nice to be able to hear what he was saying this time too.
The new trailer really put me off to be honest. Before that I was stoked! Also, I think Anne Hathaway makes an awful Catwoman, though I hope to be proven wrong when the film finally comes out.
The latest trailer was absolutely amazing. I'm so pumped for this movie. As for the rumors that Bruce Wayne may die in the movie, I could see them doing something a little different, and may just have him end up breaking his back some how with how he beats Bane. Still overcoming Bane, but will be incapacitated in some fashion to imply his back is fucked. That way they can play off the whole "Batman paying for what he's done" while also allowing a new Batman to step forward in his place while he watches from a far.
With Ra's al Ghul just being a title in this universe and Neeson's character only holding the title for a relatively short period of time it always seemed unlikely that there would be a child with the "al Ghul" name. However, Neeson's character had a name before he joined the League of Shadows that I don't believe we ever heard about. So Cotillard's character, in my eyes, could very well still be "Talia al Ghul", just with a different name that makes more sense with Nolan's canon.
