That's right kiddos, Activision's hugely successful Call of Duty franchise is spawning another sequel limb with today's semi-official announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is in development and set for release Fall 2009.
The announcement comes from a Microsoft sponsored Massive Inc. upfront where publishers showcase and talk about upcoming products to lineup advertisers prior to release. Activision didn't have any specifics to announce regarding the title, other than the fact that we'll be receiving a second helping of Modern Warfare late next year. -Xbox 360 Fanboy
Release Date: November 10, 2009 Stimulus Package DLC: March 30, 2010
Since it's not Call of Duty 4... it's technically 6, but they announced earlier this year that there'd no longer be numbered Call of Duty games. I'll probably get it, I dunno if I'd play it more than World at War unless it's better than the first MW was.
It's going to be really hard to improve upon an already great game such as 4, but if anyone could, Infinity Ward could manage. I'll wait until some official screenshots / videos are out before I give an opinion.
i think that some guns that should be added are sig p226s, what SAS really use, rpk, javelins on live, and you should be able to customize your m4 for each story mode mission. SOPMODs are meant for soldiers to modify them themselves. a problem that i think they should fix is the stopping power of guns in multiplayer. things like the g36, m4, and m16, and the SAW all fire a 5.56, but have totally different amounts of power. and things like the m14 and G3 which fire 7.62. and all the 9 mil guns are different. what other guns/perks do you think they should add
