I need to test out my Mic to see if it works but in the games I've been in no one talks. The only online games I have are Metal Gear Online and Resistance 1. To play add me as a friend my PSN: KornFlacks. hopefully I'll get Resistance 2 soon
Well my mic doesn't work so I'm gonna have to return it to Best Buy tomorrow. I'll get the expensive blue tooth head set if I have to. The one from Rocket fish was nice and comfortable but doesn't work. Just to prove the lack of mics on PSN I was in a 50 player room when I joined and only one person on my team had a mic plugged in.
there is a lack of mics but, a lot of the games i play are with the french and other weird speaking countries. For stuff like nazi zombies i think they are really good and most of the games ive played are with other mic owners.
But i think part of the trouble is you don't need a mic and most people cant be bothered to spend money on one, if they came in a bundle set or as an add-on with games i think there would be a big increase
Oh, and I noticed how everyone is saying how expensive mics can be, well i got a cheapo one, not bluetooth, but sufficient. Its got a USB connector and I don't believe it cost that much. Might have a wire, but hey, it works!
My problem is i use the sony Playstation 3 official bluetooth headset and i wear glasses when i game, and after the first hour it gets annoyingly uncomfortable, so i have to resort to get myself a beanie, put the bluetooth headset under that and the glasses ontop. Looks rather goofy, but then later it gets rather warm.
After a while later what i did was took a pair of my skull candy headphones, put some electric tape on the ear hook of the bluetooth mic on the outside of the headphones and just gamed like that, but then the headphones were a bit old, a bit falling apart, and then the finally broke. I had zipped tied them, duct taped them, and they just finally, well, died.
My thing is i want to get a real gaming headset with mic, that is comfy enough for me as a gamer who wears glasses. Problem, I live in norway and don't get a hold of turtle-beach or anything fancy for the Playstation 3. Most of the headset accessories are PC or Xbox 360 related, so i'm SOL :/
that and a lot of peeps bought mag and that game basically says if you dont have a mic go kill yourself. Its a good thing especially because ive noticed the psn community is a bit more mature then the live one
I think the PSN game servers expanded or something., i'm starting to get into alot more game with people from like Mexico and Brazil, and they all seem to have mics....... alot of muting
now there is no difference but before it used to be just my party with mics, dead silence from other members while one kid bitches about everything. But in lobbies now... I can't even hear myself or I do hear myself about like 4x through somebody else's mic >.>
I use a Mic only when I play with friends online. Otherwise I mute due to the stupid sound that can come from other peoples Mics (grainy music, screaming, 12 years olds, etc). But when it comes to zombies I do throw in the Mic and on killzone 2 I will play with it.
There is a lack of mics but when you do have people with mics, there annoying kids and other people trying to be cool ( I really dont want to be racist but blacks most of the time or whites trying to act black). BUt then there are the ocasional moment where you find a great group of people and have fun with that. Does anyone kno if its true or ot that people are nicer on playstation then x-box?
