This thread will not be used for team recruitment. Once we can create a tournament we will then create threads in the tourney forums designed specifically for team recruitment.

Fair Point, I think everybody got too familiar being anywhere but WW2 in COD 4, and they didn't fancy having old guns anymore, I don't see much difference in the games in terms of mechanics anyway.
Hmm... I may be a participant. Not a fan of HC, though. You guys may be a little more into than I'm willing to be. I don't like perks like Jugger and marty, but can you really justify banning their use when there is no way to effectively monitor whether people are using 3rd party controllers, which, to me at least, seems like a bigger issue. I guess my participation will depend on whether everyone else has the attitude of "this is all for fun," or "must win."

kill-cams on in HC should tell people what perks are being used, but i think the 'don't be a douche' rule should work here, there is nothing to gain from winning a few friendly tourneys between friendly players
Agreed. If I'm royally getting my ass kicked but the guys are being cool about it then I'll probably keep playing, but if I'm winning and the players are being dicks, I'll probably find another lobby. Tourneys are a great idea, but I think the novelty will quickly wear off if the player base develops the "must win at all costs" attitude.
Have admit, though, I relish the idea of a match where juggernaught is banned.
Alright, I'm ready to set up a tournament, Based on the poll I installed on the first page, it will be a regular Team Deathmatch.
Right now the Tournament is private as I am going to figure out a date and time as well as come up with rules for the tournament. If you already have a team and want to register, please send me a PM or personnel comment (I am going to start out with 8 teams).
I'll have the tourny go public once ou guys give me a date to which the tourney will start and when the tourney will end.
Personally I didn't like CoD WaW... CoD 4 just felt so much more... fun... I hate how they have the weapons set up, the mines are impossible to see unless you have bombsquad, and the vehicles are way too overpowered (it takes 4+ rockets to kill a tank...) I liked CoD 4 because of the Hardcore search... You don't heal, you die quickly, it can be fast paced if players know the map, or it could be a long gunfight between the teams. Matrydom and Juggernaught are useless to have because the grenade has a higher chance of killing a teammate then an enemy, and surviving 1 more bullet only comes in handy if you're not being shot at repeatedly, and if the bullet that hit didn't come from a sniper. No kill cam also allows players to find great defending positions without having to change every round (most people do anyway because odds are, someone will clue in to where you're at.) I kinda like the new last stand in WaW... if it didn't last for over a minute... I managed to get 3 kills after being downed, brought back up, and getting another 2 kills after going down another time... its retarded long, and it unbalances any fight if the whole other team is using that perk... if it only lasted 15 seconds then it'd make it a rush to save a partner, rather then just rushing when its safe... I just love hardcore... I mean, what's more exciting then being in a 6-1 and pulling a stealth ops win. With Normal, that just isn't possible (Juggernoobs)
