So, USA has a new show entitled "White Collar" starring Matt Bomer (you might recognize him as the enigmatic Bryce Larkin from "Chuck") as an exceptional high class thief who finds himself working with the FBI agent who caught him in order to work off a 4 year prison sentence.
USA is all about characters and "White Collar" has these in spades, not to mention a quirky style full of witty banter and some solid humor.
All I have to say is.. Badger, fricken Badger!! (or for just BSG fans, Fricken Romo Lampkin!!) Great episode! It is nice to see Bryce get his own show.. Wasn't really a pivotal character in "Chuck". Woot!
The pilot was very engaging and confirmed what I had suspected about this show, it's a witty high class crime/detective show. I was reminded a bit about the Oceans movies with some of the music and some of the banter. Although I am saddened that Psych is not on, this is an acceptable alternative.
so...everyone's probably wondering what's up with the ring-wearing fellow in that picture. Is he romantic competition or is the love interest in terrible danger?
i really enjoyed this catch me if you can tv series and look forward to seeing how it plays out. i think the ring guy will be a scorned mentor whose falling out happened over the girl.
My guess is that he's a former boss of some type. While Matt's character is the best thief, etc, his comments about the apartment and bottle make it seem as if he wasn't living the high life by any means. Or that, like his situation with the lady, it's nothing permanent.
So cons like that usually get involved with a larger criminal element, maybe that's how he met his girlfriend, she worked for the guy?
While a "power con victim" is probably as likely they conn'd the guy to get away, I think this is going to be a bit more than a simple revenge case. There is going to have to be a good twist, like maybe that was her father or something?
Well, since all we know is he is a guy who wears a ring, and that was what started the conversation, I'm gonna say no, I don't think anyone can be more specific. That's sort of the basis for this discussion. Sorry.
The picture of Neal's girlfriend, there is a hand on her shoulder... and he says "He's found her..." and not in a good tone. We're trying to figure out who he is and what's his relation to them...
as was the reflection off the wall when the FBI agent was on the phone as well as the shot of the theatre in the park where he was waiting for the handoff.
Actual real-time texted conversation between me and a friend, we both had the newest episode on DVR so could start it and run through the ads.
Warning, spoilers, and lots of honest opinions. I hope you find it as hillarious as I did at the time!

According to an interview with executive producer David Hoberman[10], ABC first conceived the series as a police show with an Inspector Clouseau-like character suffering from obsessive–compulsive disorder. Hoberman said ABC wanted Michael Richards for the show[10], but Richards turned it down. Hoberman brought in Andy Breckman as creator, and Breckman, inspired by Sherlock Holmes, introduced a Doctor Watson-like character as Monk's nurse and an Inspector Lestrade-like character which eventually became Captain Stottlemeyer.
Although ABC originated the show, the network handed it off to the USA Network. USA is now owned by NBC (NBC Universal).[11] Monk was the first ABC Studios-produced show (formerly Touchstone Television) aired on USA Network instead of ABC.
tl;dr: yes.
It seems like USA, having three high-rated shows, two of which air late on Fridays in the "death slot", one of which is in its sixth season, and the other still going strong in its fourth, is going to become big in the coming years.
