I don't go to the House thread... but it's a courtsey used in the SG, CMB, Fringe, Castle, Supernatural, LOST, Chuck, Event, Being Human, even the SW Book Thread... I could go on. Just becuase you got burned in one thread doesn't mean you have to take that out on all other threads using the golden rule as some mystical shield, warping it to your own interpretation.
Actually, as I recall, not only did the LOST thread tell people gtfo if you don't want to read spoilers, but there was usually a running commentary without spoiler text as the episode aired.
Oh, right, yeah, my bad. I must have been thinking of a diff thread. But at least that was a set thing with the running commentary, people expected it. It's always best to use spoiler marks first and find out what the thread is like. Michy will go in an edit your post if you get anything remotely spoiler in the Castle thread.
Why would anyone even be hanging around in a thread the day after a new episode airs if they haven't seen it? What could you possibly hope to get from it other than spoilers?
Personally I do try to avoid the thread, I simply agree on the idea of common courtsey unless a thread has already established that they don't do spoilers.
Also, like the SG thread, sometimes, oftentimes, we talk about things not show related and someone could be in the middle of another conversation but not able to see the new show yet.
Ok, so the preview for the next episode is trying to be all dramatic, "Sam may not be who he says he is" and there's all this high drama like, omg, what's Sam's secret. Was there anyone anywhere who did not instantly figure out in this week's episode that Sam is Neal's dad ? I mean they were practically hanging a lantern on it.
Unfortunately there are people out there who won't figure it out... /shrugs
I'm not really caring for this season, I dunno, just getting bored of the same old "Neal and Peter are friends. Something happens and they decide they can't trust each other. Then everything is cleared up and friends again."
I know they are trying to move forward on character development but I feel like they are just spinning their wheels....
Despite the fact that we all saw it coming... it wasn't a bad episode... they at least managed not to attempt to drag the reveal out through the whole episode and had a decent story going on through most of it.
Well, Body of proof is actually a week behind their original schedule... they moved the season premiere back because of the State of the Union address... but really... I think they did this to mess with us...
