Super Mario Brothers. God that game was the shit....
In my opinion, the original Super Mario Brothers doesn't hold up too well. The games seems a bit too monotonous and repetitive in my opinion, while the games after it seem to have more distinctive styles and change the gameplay as the game goes on.
Actually crash bandicoot 2 was my first owned game on the playstation. But the first game I actually played was on the nintendo, power rangers (I think) or was it mortal combat!? D: can't remember
Playing KaBOOM! on my Dad's old Atari. I used to play it all the time trying to beat my Dad. To this day my Dad can pick up the controller and destroy my scores within 15 minutes.
The first game I remember, and that I really liked was Alundra for PS1.. I am planning to someday buy two PS1's and two copies of that game and play it from start to finish with my older brother.
It had to be golden eye or the zelda orcarina of time (dont know if i spelt that right). probably why my favorite game genres to this day are RPGs/adventure games and first person shooters
I suppose my first game would be ether, Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, or Legend of Zelda. I'm not which one I played first, I was 3 or 4 at the time so I don't really remember. But I do remember the first game I beat, which was Pokemon Red. Good times, good times.
DOOM and Sonic were the first games I ever played and I fucking loved them. Still play them both on the Xbox Live Arcade and they still hold up as amazing games.
Kind of lame but Banjo Kazooie for N64. My mother HATED video games and didn't want me to have any, however my best friend in elementary school had a N64. I would go over and spend the whole weekend at her house and we would do nothing but play that game for hours and hours.
Sonic Adventures 2 for the Sega Genesis, it is the first I remember playing that is, I did have an Atari 2600 in the closet so it is possible I played something on that first.
Oh yeah that... I kind of just went with my first console game (which was all my fault for assuming) but I did have that and a few other games for my parent's computers at school
Super Mario Brothers on the NES. We still have the NES in the garage was tempted to get it out sometime. We also have Duck Hunt but I apparently broke the gun by throwing it at my brother in anger when he beat me. I use to be a really sore loser.
We all love gaming (if not then what are you doing in this forum?) and we have all probably had our fair share of games: good, bad, easy, hard... but we all have that first game, that first one that made us into the gamers that we are today. So, what was it for you?
For me it was "Pokemon Red" for the Gameboy Color. Getting that game along with the Game boy for my fourth birthday is all it took to get me hooked
That's how it was for me, I got Blue, and ever since then I've also been hooked. Pokemon is still a guilty pleasure. I'm actually fairly excited over the announcement being made this weekend!
