She's gone from the company to do other things, but she isn't gone gone. I have no doubt that they could pull her back in on contract for a couple episode series. After all, her main job was the comic, which I think is was what she was getting tired of. She mentioned in a podcast that she never stuck with a job for too long because she would get bored. She did the comic for 5 years, she did Immersion for 9 episodes. I think they could convince her to come back.
Yeah, she said she wanted to do some different things, then a few weeks later this came out. Since then she has been quite on the site so I imagine she is doing awesome things elsewhere. You can read more about it on her page.
How easy would it REALLY be to climb old italian buildings like Ezio. This could even be done in Austin by fabricating a wall with different grips etc. and having the immersion guys try to run up it. Or they could just go to Bella Roma
- Quick Time Events: A common complaint from gamers is that QTE's don't have enough time to react...But could someone react in time in real life? And cue five minutes of torturing Geoff and Gus
-Coin Collecting: Mario can run around and get hundreds of coins. Sonic can get hundreds of rings. But how many could someone in real life pull off? Throw Geoff in a plumber suit and Gus in a Sonic suit and let's find out (And laugh at poor Gus)
-Testing Video Game Tools: Several characters, notably Link, can pick up a tool and know just how to use it to get through his challenges. But could someone else be that quick on the uptake?
They kind of did the last two: Carrying crap when they had them try to haul all the gear from doom and testing video game tools is present in the shotgun/zombie. the point was to test if some schmuck can pick up a shotgun and use it. I like the QTE idea though. That can provide some hilarious moments.
Sneak into gus' house again in the middle of the night with a megaphone and a sign with a bunch of "buttons" and scream "PRESS B TO AVOID DROWNING" Dump water on them. plant a Wiimote in the break room. While geoff is eating lunch "SWING WIIMOTE TO DODGE BEAR ATTACK": Kerry jumps out of fucking nowhere and tackles geoff.
here was a game on Xbox Live called the Dorito Challenge Course...That would be on of my experiments against Gus and Geoff A Call of Duty multiplayer match The Staff vs, Gus and Geoff ; using paintball guns I have a couple i'm iffy about but I just thought they would be fun things to see
Now I want to do a Minecraft experiment and see Geoff and Gus punching a ground to get blocks.... and putting it back together and if they get tools like shovels they can only use it how they see in the game by hacking at the ground or mining a rock by striking it XD
Fixed camera room navigation. like in games where the camera only views from a corner of a room until they go through a door to a different room or move past a set point in a room. set them up with something like the Mario rig and have them navigate the office and complete certain tasks. (picking up items, moving stuff, hit targets with a nerf gun, ect)
Why not a Minecraft Immersion, like... choping wood with their hands and, having fun with tnt, and every now and then blowing up with a creeper, you know just for the fun.
I'd quite like to see them stuck in some kind of Amnesia-esque setting, then throwing in some actor enemies and seing how long Geoff or Gus will last in a true(-ish) horror scenario
"Now I want to do a Minecraft experiment and see Geoff and Gus punching a ground to get blocks.... and putting it back together and if they get tools like shovels they can only use it how they see in the game by hacking at the ground or mining a rock by striking it XD" I had the same idea! scroll up
I'd love to see an episode of Immersion based around games like Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, or Tomb Raider where they attempt to mimic climbing up a 3 story building or a rock climbing wall just as quickly as the characters in the game.
Have Geoff and Gus go against Jason and his brother on Guitar Hero/Rockband etc and see if having the skill to actually play the instrument affects your skill on the game, and if so by how much.
Slight elaboration on someones idea: Have a team of 3 people from the office (not Geoff) go against 3 soldiers who are serving/have served together in different modes on 3 different shooters (Gears 3, Halo: Reach and Battlefield for example, to test the different play styles needed in different types of shooters) and see if the tactics they use can beat experience gained through playing the video games alot.
I think having a Real Time Strategy immersion would be great.
Like say you have people from an RTX under the control of Geoff or Gus, and the goal is for Geoff and Gus to send out their villagers (the fans) to collect resources/building materials to accomplish a similar goal.
And every-so-often Burnie comes out and tells the "villagers" to stand still and do nothing, to simulate idle or order-less units. Because that happens.
Maybe have like Geoff and Gus in seperate scissor-lifts, 30 feet above everybody yelling orders through a megaphone.
Put two idiots in a forest at night (with helmet cams attached) and make them look for papers notes, while slowly being stalked by 'Slender Man/Men'. (Might be more fun if you don't tell them they're being stalked or what obstacles there are)
Dude... Gavin and Michael alone in a forest with those head mounted cams running from unknown person at night? This... might be.... the best idea on this site. Awesome.
I just posted the idea on Geoff's page (with all credit listed to you, of course. I'm not a dick). I'm pretty sure they don't look at their personal comments, but it is worth a shot.
