Something I'd wondered is that most if not all ponies in ponyville are of I guess you'd call it medium size, same with canterlot but then there are occasionally ponies normally from the upper class + Twilight's brother who are larger, have larger wings + larger horns.
Of course its a repost, this thread and youtube are my only sources of pony-related information It kinda sucks to hop on the wagon so late, but it DOES kick ass that I get to digest 2 years worth of memes, artwork, etc all at once. By the time I get bored and jaded with everything thats here already, it'll be Season 3
