Well we still see plenty of Geoff in achievement hunter things such as Horse, Let's Plays, AHWU, actual achievement videos. Also, he could quite well be busy doing RvB things such as voice recording, or even working on projects that, as of yet, we haven't been told about.
It might be a bit of an overreaction to assume that hes pissed at the company. Geoff is probably easier going than Bob Marley smoking a spliff, so I don't think he's thrown a hissy fit and is refusing to be on the podcast.
With Burnie constantly mentioning future, unannounced projects, I'm going to keep hoping that Geoff is involved with those, as well as his commitments to Achievement Hunter and RvB
(also, on a note about AH being a separate company, I don' really think it could exist on its own. Financially speaking, as well as the fact that it was made originally to bring more people to RvB and RT in general. Given their number of employees, I don't know whether they could support that simply on T-Shirt sales etc)
(also also, Geoff has to keep looking after Gavino, which sounds like a full time job)
If you don't feel like waiting for him to be on the RT podcast, you can checkout the Internet Box podcast. It's basically an AH/Community podcast with Ray, Mike, Michael, Barbara, and others.
I get the appeal, but the actual podcast lasts a lot longer and is much easier to enjoy while, say, driving or working out. Let's Play is entertaining, so long as you enjoy the game they're playing. If not, the entertainment value decreases slightly. I'm not much of a gamer, so it loses some appeal for me there, too.
I'm sure this has been said but at PAX they mentioned that Geoff had been busy with achievement hunter, but they also hinted that there might be an Achievement Hunter podcast coming. Maybe that's just an idea in the works, but I'd be excited to see that.
Welp, its like that famous saying. You can't always get what you want. Geoff is obviously avoiding the podcast (His choice or not) and the cast is making it very apparent that they're tired of hearing about it. But Geoff hasn't abandoned us and what he loves to do which is playing video games.
Oh, my statement of preference wasn't predicated on Geoff's presence. I deviated (if only slightly) to general product consumption, since I think we've all reached a general, if not split, consensus. You spotted the cow pretty accurately, actually:
"Geoff is obviously avoiding the podcast...but Geoff hasn't abandoned us and what he loves to do..."
With your concise summation, I think I can safely say this entire forum has completed its course and run aground. I know it's too presumptious and unlikely a statement, given the nature of people and the internet, but I'd like to think that--in all necessity-- this post could be LAST.
I actually think that Geoff died back in 2009, and there has been a huge conspiracy to keep him 'alive.' If you listen to the podcast backwards, you hear "Geoff is dead" every 8 minutes.
I agree that Geoff should come back onto the podcast. I don’t know about you, but I’m a weekly listener of the podcast. I feel there should at least some type of explanation on why he has not been in attendance. To be honest a simple “He’s busy” from someone on the RT staff would work. But to have him on for so long and then nothing, it’s a like a break up, you are just left alone angry and confused wondering…….why?
Geoff was eaten by a tiger, and Miles has filled in for him on the Achievement Hunter stuff. However, Miles can't fabricate stories as good as Geoff's were, and that's why he hasn't been on the podcast. Turns out Miles really is taking over everyone's jobs.
