Hi Matt, now you can join the amazing world of me posting to myself while somebody posts every once in a while. Basically it's just like the EUGBL thread on the Hub, except the same
I always go with ___ Muffin but I often use different ones. I often overplay different entry names though as I use Messiah for both XBL, PSN and Hub.
I think I have went or currently go by Messiah, Air, Comrade, Main Event, CM, Gospel, Magic, Mother, Communist and that's all I can think of, but that may be them all
Yeah I sent it to a lot of captains including him, but nothing. I'm planning on sending a second round out today as we have a week left. Couldn't hurt, could it?
Just going to post this it's a racing league set up in Halo by myself and Rollo 93. If any ones interested take a look at the group. The league will start the Thursday after sign ups for the next EU league finish, so that both can run alongside each other.
I'm willing to run a team for the team-less dregs if no-one else if (and if I ever get round to fiddling with my xbox live), but I'd need 1 or 2 more players. I probably have 3 at the moment, including myself (yes, one of those 3 is shadowknight, but what the hell), so if anyone wants to loan us a player...? ;)
The EU league has always been much smaller than the American leagues and we still end up with quite a lot of forfeits. The only good thing about the low turnout of teams so far is that I'm confident that all of them can get their games done.
But why has it always been like that then? It's not like there is more people in the US than in whole Europe. :/ The GGL has 30 american divisions and only 2 european ones.. :/
Today is the last day to sign-up for the EUGBL11. Unless we have a large amount of teams sign-up today the EUGBL will probably only be in one division this season, probably without playoffs. So if you want to sign-up do or need a team then act fast as I'll be closing the sign-ups when I get online tomorrow.
Also Alex the EUGBL is an English speaking league (used to be called the UKGBL) so it has only really ever been UK teams to have signed-up. Apart from you and Jet I don't think we've really had any other teams from Europe join (I know once an M4G team signed-up but, stat-padding)
There are us and four others. Out of those four, one has replied to my confirmation message to say that they are taking part and I'm waiting on the others.
Okay sign-ups are now closed. In total we have 5 teams who are ready to play some Grifball. These teams are:-
Johnson's Salty Grifballs (Strangler 999) Rainbows and Unicorns (germanicus1994) Sarge's Angels (Teaguey222) Storm Hawks (AlExThEnIcE) Team Impact (rollo 93)
The season will start on Monday and will be one division over the course of five weeks including a catch-up week. After that the top two teams from the table will play against each other in the final to decide the champion. We could have just done who won the league, but damn it man I like a good final and I hope you do to.
I'm now going to try to get the EUGBL section of Grifball.Info sorted with TrueFlyingCow so hopefully that will be good for next week. So next week start playing your games and lets make this small season a good one.
On another note, good luck to all you teams currently in the GGL playoffs.
Okay, if you're doing them this season do you want them collect them the same way you did last season with us just putting the full games in our fileshares?
