So just digging through some of my old games I came across my Kingdom Hearts 1&2, and realized how much I would love to see a Kingdom Hearts 3 this has to be my all time favorite video game franchise and probably one of the first games that had me spending more than just a few hours a day locked in front of my tv screen. Even though at this point I feel that there is not going to be a third atleast anytime soon, if I heard this game was coming out in the next month I would buy a ps3 just to play it.
So just figured I'd ask the community if there is any games you can't wait to play the sequel to? or a game you wish had a sequel?
Most everything that comes out now days is a sequel, myself I'm pretty stoked for ME3. As for as one I'd like to see have another sequel? Tron. Tron 2.0 was really innovative and I was even a fan of Tron : Evolution (A.k.a Tron :Prince of Persia.)
Can't wait for: ME3, wish I had the time to do other Sheppard cannons but what I've got now will have to do upon release in a month. Really stoked to play out the story line, even the little side ones and how my actions from 1 and 2 affects the outcome.
Wish there was a sequel for: Wing Commander. Prophecy and Secret Ops were pretty good considering the Roberts were not involved. You sorta know how the next one would have at least started off; Confed goes on the offensive using the stolen Nephilem wormhole tech to hit their corner, taking the fight to them. Maybe add in a multi-character story like the MW series (play as a Confed pilot on the offensive, a Kilrathi supporting Confed, and a Boarder Worlder pilot tasked with patrolling home space sort-of-thing).
Mass Effect 3 is the big one for me. The Mass Effect series has been my favorite series since it came out and to this day, Mass Effect (bugs, glitches, and all) is my favorite game. I made my reservation for the game over a year ago at Gamestop. Aside from that, I can't wait for Borderlands 2. I've been a lot of hours into Borderlands and I can't wait to get more of Pandora. Luckily, I've still got some Borderlands DLC I have yet to finish to hold me over.
I wish there was a new Banjo-Kazooie that wasn't Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. Dear god, that game.
Can't wait for Halo 4. I hope it's really good. But I don't trust it not being in Bungie's hands. The new Halo Anniversary was good, because it had the same gameplay feel as the original. But making a whole new Halo game from scratch you can mess up easily. I hope it ends up well.
Agreed, the only thing I'm hoping for from this game is that they take a step back and give it more of a halo 3 feel. I enjoyed Reach don't get me wrong but the halos had near perfection in their games, I wouldn't go and try to change that to much. BR > DMR
I'd love to see a new Half Life at some point the the future but i understand that valve fears the number 3 so it may never happen, Diablo 3 however is slated to actually release at some point so thats what im looking forward to most atm, id like another title in the GTA series of course tho
I thought they were done with Halo? LOL. Anyways, Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be amazing(hopefully). A LOT of people want Half-Life 3. However, as said earlier, halo is probably the most anticipated.
Half life 3/ Half life 2 episode 3. Been waiting five years for that. Will probably have to wait five more. Although someone did spot a valve employee with a Half life 3 shirt...
I'm currently excited for Mass Effect 3, Diablo 3, Halo 4, Hitman: Absolution & Assassin's Creed 3 (in that order).
I wish I could another game in the following series: Vandal Hearts, Suikoden, Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Red Dead Redemption (in no particular order).
I'd have to say Too Human 2. I realize the game didn't get much love when it came out. However, I really loved the concept and ideas behind it, along with the story and design in general. Given enough time, and the right minds behind the project, this game could become godly. Plus I'm dying to find out how the story continues due to the seriously hardcore tease ending.
Killer instinct 3. A hardcore soundtrack, unreal combo engine, and awesome characters. It needs a polished makeover with the next gen consoles. Tighten up the gameplay, add more epic characters like Gacius into the roster, and you have a competition like no other for MK.
And lastly, I suppose other than that I'd have to go with Conkers Bad Fur Day 2. I realize thats more of a pipe dream considering all the factors against. However, its a nice little dream. Conker defined my childhood and pretty much stands as my role model figure till this day. It taught me about the epicness of Teddie bears, how cool a squirrel could be, why people like furries, how to put out a fire without water(if you played the game you'll get this). And, most importantly, it is responsible for my love of multiplayer with friends. Tediz4life!
Mass Effect 3 Half Life: Episode 3 (I keep getting the impression that this is like waiting in vain for Duke Nukem :P ) Rainbow Six: Patriots (the concept behind it is what makes me very interested in it) Bioshock Infinite
Legends of Dragoon 2, Dark Cloud 3... But in reality, probably the next Dragon Quest game. I'm really not excited for the next batch of shooter/pseudo-shooter games.
SSX anyone? No? Well, I'm excited about that, my favorite snowboarding game, since the last was a bust. Ninja Gaiden 3 looks interesting, and Silent Hill: Downpour looks like it may renew my faith in the series. I am also looking forward to the next Assassin's Creed, the story though confusing actually pulls me in. There are LOADS of sequels coming out this year and most of which look fantastic. This should be a great year for gaming... you know if the world doesn't end and all.
