Okay here we go everyone!
I wake up and rub the large bump on my head..."I hope you don't have a concussion." I turn to see who spoke and she a lovely young woman holding an ice pack. She continues and says...
"You really should be more careful. People simply don't ride on the robo-guanas without practice. people have died from being thrown off. you're very lucky." she sighed as she...
placed the freezing ice pack on my head. Holding the ice pack, I tried to sit up and look around the room but felt dizzy and became sick. I turn to her after wiping my mouth. "What? How did I fall?" I remembered all the times dad would go riding and how he never let me...he always gave me advice though. I remember he just took me out for the first time..."Where's my dad?" The lady looked at me concerned. "You were alone, Sweetheart. Even your robo-guana took off. You're lucky I found you before the Hunted did." I jumped to my feet but still felt weak in the knees. "Where am I? Who are you?" Her eyes barely flickered when I realized...
I was in a world that was not my own...something drastic had happened while I was passed out, now the mystery is just to find out what. I walk to a window and look outside to see...
what my father used to tell me about the Hunted; that they could make you hallucinate in order to extract information from you. But why did would they do that to me? Its not like I knew anything important. Still, I decided to test my theory by...
It was a mirror. Thinking back to when I was thrown off, I couldn't recall why I had saddled up in the first place, or where I was headed. I was in a strange place with a strange woman staring at a reflection that wasn't mine. So I decided to question this woman. "Do you know me?" to which she replied with
"Of course I know you, you're part of the institute. But you were always a quiet girl, keeping to yourself and working on the secret project assigned to you. I need to run a quick diagnostic on you then the directors ungently want to talk to you. Its amazing that you didn't set off the alarms." The woman gestures for you to lay down again.
"Institution? Secret projects?" I asked in a clueless way before adding "Alarms?" Seeing I had no memory the women continued with her work and left, leaving Me to my thoughts and worries...
which only grew more intense as I looked around. The landscape was completely foreign, and I began to worry someone had taken me from my home. Just as I began to contemplate a way to get home, three men, dressed in clean white uniforms, came and...
said, "it would appear that the dive protocol has not taken effect yet. She is resisting. too many questions are being asked." Their speech was strange. Though all three men spoke, it was as if one mind controlled the thought, creating a unified thought through the 3 voices. i was going to express my curiosity, when suddenly...
everything went dark. I could not hear, see, or feel anything. As if a blanket of numbness had enveloped my body. I don't recall what happened, or how long I was like this.
Suddenly it lifted, and I was in a bright room. I was alone, sitting in a chair against the wall. It was a small room, filled with only a few pieces of furniture. I stood and walked to the window and gasped.
I saw a huge group of people armed to the teeth, all weapons pointed at me, I heard the door behind me open and anothe Anthro wolf walked in. "hello," he said, "I am director Ryan, and you are,"
i started to respond "I am..." but my mind could think of nothing. Being in a strange place was bad enough, not being able to remember anything made it worse. Just looking at the weapons made sweat gather on my brow...
I can't help but to just repeat my self over and over, "i am...." my hands begin to tremble as the director steps closer
"Its fine, I'll check my file," he said pulling out a folder, and opening it. I stared at his eyes, and saw that they were blue, like my own. "Ryan," said a third voice, as another wolf walked in, with brown fur, and again blue eyes. "what's going on here!" I asked as the director looked back to me.
"get off me!" yells another wolf, who bursts through the door, this one with amber eyes, struggles with humans who are trying to sudate him. The needle enters his skin and he drops, is dragged into the room, the door shuts.
As I reach the exit I am shocked, and drop to the floor in pain. Around my neck, I realize as the shock collar shocked me again and yet again I black out.
as i wake, i find myself in another room completely. there are no windows, save a small observational window in the door. as my new world comes into focus, i realize i'm not alone. a boy with familiar amber eyes is looking at me. "they got you too, huh?"
my throat, still groggy, finds it's memory to form words. i reply...
"what was that about?" "well, you tried to get out, they don't like that much," he replied, "are you new heard, I haven't seen you before, let alone that other wolf you were talking to," "yea," I replied, shyly, still foggy in the memory. "did you figure out you name yet?" he asked, softly, just as scared as I was.
i sat quietly and thought about his question. I tried to think about my past, my childhood, what I once had was playful memories of friends and family...now....now i just had a deep dark void lingering inside my head. At this point I was starting to lose my composure, but before that happened I managed to think of one thing that might represent me...
The boy with the familiar amber eyes slowly glances his gaze towards the small observation window...I sense that he is listening to something...his body becomes stiff and his eyes grow cold... what did he hear?
I look at him, "what do you know of this place, what do they want from us?" He glances down at the ground, and quietly begins to speak
without saying a word the director grabs my arm and drags me out of the room...my instincts tell me to scream or try to get away, but the fear in me overrides that and I quietly go along. We walk down a long hallway, filled with doorways and dim lights. We stop in front of a door and he slowly opens it, i get pushed in
"Ah yes, my two favorite trouble makers." trouble makers? I thought to myself. "Now Darren, we are going to have to extend you sessions with her if you aren't going to cooperate with the orderlies." The director spoke with his eyes pouring over his clip board. "And you little miss, what made you try to run? We are only here to help." The muffled sound of alarms started to sound from outside the walls of the room they moved us to, when...
Guards burst in with a feline version of the two of us, to my horror she was bleeding out of the neck, were the shock collar had shocked her so horribly. The director sighed before saying, "Catherine, you too? I'm very disappointed," he gestured for the guards to take her away. "Now your reasons for your attempted escape, miss," he continued.
