Hardly that was an easy achievement, delete all your map packs apart from defiant and enter into infection, should come up in the rotation very early, being the last alive isn't hard either just stay away from the pack.
Halo games have generally decent achievement lists, worst list of all time would be GRAW be number 1 on each of the 3 leaderboards for less than 50g each.... takes about 3 or 4 months of dedication for each one as well.
I agree that Halo has a good achievement list, but the one multiplayer game that is hard to get achievements in is Ninja Gaiden 3 because that is the worst multiplayer and the most broken I have ever played.
Yea that's one issue that really bugs me about Halo Reach. Sometimes the categories were way too broad. Like for team objective maybe you wanted to play Capture the Flag or Odd Ball but it's not specific enough for that. I know it's even worse for the map packs since they pack all of the game types in just one playlist. That always seemed so annoying to me.
The "you can be my wingman anytime" seemed pretty hard so i just went with the guide and got it pretty easily.
If any of you own the orange box, there's this one achievement on Half-life 2: Episode 2 that makes you squish something like 323 antlion grubs throughout the story (20g i think).. I don't think i'll ever try for this
New Squadron Record in Cod 4 MW took me almost a month just to figure out the right time to shoot throw flashbang and sprint. Worst. Achievement. Ever. Of all time. In CoD 4 MW that is.
I'll ditto the Ninety Nine Nights achievements. It takes hours of grinding to get each of the characters up to level 9, which I did, but the game never game me the cheevo. And the clear the special mission one is incredibly hard since you have to kite a boss around for about an hour, and then the game didn't give me that cheevo either.
Mile High Club from CoD4 consumed about 3 hours of my life in 90 second intervals. Quick math tells me I tried that level about 120 times.
I guess I will add my most recent one from Crysis which is Nano Ninja. Got to oil five enemies in a row with out being detected and somehow the fifth guy always spots you or there is a sixth guy your unaware of.
All of the Halo achievements where you need to do it on a certain level or in a specific game mode. If I did what I needed to do, then I want the damn achievement! It's especially annoying because usually those maps or modes rarely come up.
Multiplayer achievement in general I dont really like. I understand why they have them, and when I do something awesome in MP its cool to get an achievement for it, but I do not play enough MP to be bothered to go out of my way to get every online achievement. It sucks for me because I cant get 100% on some games, even though I'll play the shit out of and get everything there is in single player.
I just spend a good 1 1/2 to 2 hours doing Trials Evolution "Burnt to a Crisp" ~ Pass 'Lab Rat' without faulting while constantly on fire.
I feel like its one of those achievements that you either get on your 3rd try or your 300th ... nothing in between. To all of you whom still have this achievement on your "to do list" GOOD LUCK. Those of you that finished it like me (300 tries) nice work ... those of you that completed it without any trouble at all SCREW YOU!!!!
Most annoying would have to be Ultimate Endurance in Trials HD, or recently, the similar one in Trials Evo, which is to finish the Scenic Route tournament with no faults. Which is way easier than Ultimate Endurance, but still requires a bit of time.
No Contest. It might not be the most difficult but the "Like A Boss" Achievement in Battlefield 3. It needs you to get a kill with the Skid Loader which is like a Mini JCB. Getting the kill isn't that bad. The annoying bit is when you get people who don't know what they're doing and just steal it before I get the chance and driving round in circles or over a landmine or into an enemy tank or straight into the ocean.
Idk about you guys but, I find any achievement like take X amount of steps while doing whatever to be annoying because most of the time you have to rig your controller or sit there and walk around and do nothing for hours.
Yeah like in Darksiders (ride 100 miles eg.) or Superman (fly 100 miles eg.). Those are super annoying! And most of the time, those aren't even acquired in a normal playthrough, its just too much!
