Well I never played femshep in 1, but that doesn't mean that he's not just using her as a beard.

Its cool and all that Bioware is doing that, but this:
MY HUSBAND IS DEAD

Paragon: I WILL BE GAY FOR YOU

Renegade: FUCK OFF YOU HOMOSEXUAL

isn't a good way to do it

Although I hear the Kaiden stuff was well done. Anything is better than that trainwreck Anders in DA2

I was a Male Soldier, Colonist, (super paragon) War Hero for ME1, changed it up to Vanguard in 2 and now Sentinel in 3.

My 2nd playthrough was Femshep Adept, Earth Born, Sole Survivor, Paragade basically lawful evil.

I was a soldier in 1 because I wanted to blow shit up.

I was a soldier in 2 because I didn't want to be stuck with just a pistol and an SMG.

I'm in infiltrator in 3 because cloaked shots from a Widow will level just about anything.

Male, default appearance?

Also, you'll discover why that was a not-so-good choice of name in about 6 hours...

God damn it, I really want to get into ME, but I just can't bring myself to buy it on PC. I'm just too used to console gaming.

With the way my dad's used his x-box since my mother got it for him (ie zero times except when I tried to get him to play it when he first got it) though, I might just try to convince them at some point to either let me take it or buy it off of them.

I really never did PC gaming growing up. My entire history of video games has been through consoles (Sega Genesis, N64, and then every Nintendo console following). I don't like the feel of playing games on the computer (and yes, I know I could connect an x-box controller to it, but at that point I might as well just do it on the console anyway), and just as a psychological thing, it's much more relaxing for me to be able to physically remove myself from my desk/computer to play.

It's not nearly that bad, dude.

In reply to damnclem, #30:

He didn't give a distinct hetero vibe, but there was definite talk of hetero relationships, and none in the homosexual realm. So to some, it appears sudden that he's bisexual.

I agree with you that he doesn't scream "I'M STRAIGHT" but it is a little out of the blue.

In reply to JohnMatt, #58:

That's the exact context of it when you talk to Cortez though. When he mentions that, you only have those two options. Why should I be forced to pick between starting a homosexual love interest and being a dick?

I turned him down and I don't remember the dialog seeming dickish.

Perhaps there are multiple points where you can turn him down, and you missed an earlier one, which makes the rejection seem like you were leading him on? IDK.
