That seems like a good choice.. Condenser mics are the way to go for quality. You will want to avoid the el cheapo mics.
Another choice the the Audio-Techniaa AT2020 www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-AT2020-USB-Con... . Avaiable in both USB and XLR (for use on a real audio mixer). Might also getting the bundle with the pop filter and shock mount so that you can isolate mic from physical vibration, floor, and stand noise.
Should say the bundle with the At2020 is about the same price as the blue.
if you just amazon search PC mic you'll get what you need. Mines really good and came as like a USB headset with over ear headphones which are also really good

Those give ok quality, but for the best quality you need a condenser microphone.
@Krakatu how is the Blue Yeti, I've heard of it before from others, does it pick up keyboard sounds etc? i.e is it any good for general gaming/let's plays.
It does pick up keyboard sounds, but I'm thinking it's the vibrations through my desk, so I'm going to see if setting it on a thick book muffles it any (hello ME3 legendary strategy guide!), It does have a slot to screw into a stand, though, so if that doesn't work there are other options.
I haven't used it for gameplay at all, so I don't know what to tell you there. Here aresomesamples of what I did record with it.

I still suggest a shock mount, which should help dampen some sounds from thumping on the desk.
I use an AT2020, and I can say it is extremely good for the price. I'd pay upwards of $400 for this.
I was always wanting to know how the AT2020 held up. Audio-Technia usually makes great products, and being a theatrical tech, I've used plenty of their wireless mic packs.
Okay, I tried putting a thick book underneath my mic desk stand, but it still picked up mouse clicks and keyboard sounds, so I went out and got an actual mic stand. This works a little better as I can actually adjust it so I won't be hunching over my desk, and have a more reliable place to attach my pop filter.
