Hello, today I bought a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and I was hoping for some suggestions of good games I should get. (Note, I already have, Super Mario Brothers 3, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Dragon Warrior.)

I would definitely recommend Donkey Kong Country. I haven't played it in years, and have a lot of nostalgia attached to it, but it was a fantastic game, especially if you have a second person to play with. 2 warnings about the game, however.
1)I have a pathological fear of bees that I'll never get over.
2)Don't rage too hard at the minecarts.

I sincerely hope you enjoy that game as much as I used to.

Sure! I'll be sure to ask for it when I head to this locally owned store that sells old games.

Ohohoho boy...

Contra, Battletoads, ALL the Megaman's, Castlevania 1 and 3 (NOT 2), Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt.

Those are a few that come to mind. I could keep going, but those'll keep you busy for awhile.

I would definitely recommend Donkey Kong Country.

Donkey Kong Country is a SNES title.

I was a fan of the original Final Fantasy, but many people find it boring. Mike Tyson's Punch Out is a classic. Frankly, you've already got some of the best games. Add in the ones that TheSlayerMH suggested and you'll have a good set.

OH wow, misread on my part. Thanks.

IF the store sells old consoles, get a SNES and Donkey Kong Country. Totally worth it.

I actually remember having some great times playing Major League Baseball (MLB) which is weird because I don't like sports games

I really love the NES Metal Gear Solid games, very good!
And Castlevania, although be warned, it redefines the word "Challenging"

Contra and Super C are both good albeit hard. Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, Blades of Steel, Metroid, Kid Icarus and Godzilla 2 were all pretty cool too. Most of the other really great ones were mentioned above I think. Overall this was a tough time for gaming and the industry was just coming out of a recession. Most of the games on NES were interesting to play even if they weren't very good.

gunsmoke. mother fuckers do not know about gunsmoke but this game brought me hours and hours of entertainment. and it was hard. oh you get a infinite retry on a level. but you lose all your weapons and have fucking fun trying to down the end bosses with a fucking pistol.
the game is hard as fuck and highly under rated.

More like Commando for cowboys. Also try Commando, OP. Dont be alarmed that the helicopter dropping you off on the battlefield has only one blade, it still flies because pixelated helicopters have a much lower density than non-pixelated ones.

Super Pitfall, Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Bubble Bobble, and especially TMNT 2: The Arcade game. It is EXCELLENT. My best friend and I would hang out and play it every Friday. Hard as hell, but fun.

I would say mega man 2, battle kid fortress of peril (if you want a serious challenge), Duck Tales, Dark Wing Duck, The Little Mermaid, Bubble Bobble, 1943, mckids the list can go on but their is a start of some common to slightly rare games that shouldn't be hard to find.

If you like baseball, "baseball stars" was the best! Even had a cheat code for the team creator. Loved that game...

I didn't have all that many NES games since the system was ~10-15 years old when I got one, but Kid Icarus and Duck Tales were always really fun games. Super Mario 2 is pretty fun as well!
