I've tried looking and couldn't find another thread (which I find very surprising)
Anyway, what does everyone think of the game that was released today?
I loved HD and they've really expanded on that game. Although unfortunately I don't seem to able to play the online multiplayer properly yet, can't find any games (hopefully a day one issue)
I've been addicted to it for the past two days. It's definitely better than Trials HD. The squirrels represent and an achievement in the game called "The Squirrels Have Eyes" where you need to find 20 hidden squirrels in the game. I've only found one so far, so I hope that someone makes a guide for it soon.
I already found one online for the squirrels. I just need to get the last 3 and I have the achievement. I know that some of the ones in this game I'll never get, but that's pretty much me in almost every game I play haha.
P.s, the newest "Let's Play" with Trials Evolution is easily the best one they've ever done.
The only parts that fucked me in Dark City were the 10 degree planks in the basketball court and for some reason, the ramp leading into the last building. I've never been good with the planks and even to this day I have no idea how to get past obstacles like that. The ramp on the other hand, bewildered me. I spent more time on it than the rest of the course. No matter what I did I'd always come up short of it until I somehow got onto it. I do agree that the game is easier than Trials HD, but it's still pretty difficult in some tracks.
im broke right now, but on payday im going to buy it. i played the fuck out of the trail, and its sick. cant wait to have some more cash and blow through it.
Playing the game was fun, but that track creator. It's completely sucked me in. It's pretty much the only thing I do now, work on new tracks and surf around to download interesting tracks so I can get some ideas for my own tracks.
It's a great game I'm loving it. But some of the achievement are pissing me off like the hard the hard way. The user tracks are incredible I mean I had no idea people would be this good.
Good God Dark City! I can't take it anymore, I can't pass the damn scoreboard part, but yet, I keep coming back and playing it! I've both ran out of time and ran out of faults on this track at least once.
I thought I was having problems but I think it just takes ages to search. So it will take a few minutes (the bar barely looks like it's moving when searching)
Have you guys worked on any of the achievements? That's all I've been doing tonight and after about 20 minutes of trial and error I found out the last squirrel in the achievement hunter video is gotten a different way than explained by Geoff. You have to flip 5 times during the map without faulting in between, on your 5th one the squirrel appears on your back. In the video they just flip at the end of the map without really saying anything about it.
I just downloaded this game more or less on a lark. Had nothing better to do, and after playing for about 2 hours, I realized I was hooked. After watching the achievement guides, I figured I can probably get most of the course specific achievements. And so far, I have. But the hardest one so far for me was Unyielding II. I got it, but not before having a moment of pure crushing disappointment, something that Jack had described in the video. This is that run I had. I'd get the achievement literally 2 or 3 tries after this, but this was very annoying. I'm sure anyone going for this achievement knows this pain.
I'm not the bet but I at least have all gold medals maybe Ill make a video showing you guys how to get past the flatlined levels. I don't know if it's something you guys would like to see let me know. Like I sai im not the best but I can get through all the levels pretty quick. Let me know.
Just keep trying. At first don't care if you don't get gold because you'll want to kill yourself if you do. Get bronze, practice, and then go for higher medals. It took me the longest time to get past Dark City, but after playing it so much I got better with those two bastard obstacles near the end. Try "Truth is Out There" or "Way of the Ninja" first. If you can get gold on most of the hard tracks, you should be able to do Way of the Ninja. It's surprisingly easy, except for the floating block part in the middle of it, and a few little things that I just suck at getting past.
