I try to avoid bad games. Genre is irrelevant. If a game is bad it's bad.

I never bought skyrim for the obvious reason. I also avoided bioshock 2. I heard it was only worth the last three hours of gameplay

Just a little reply because I see two games that I have played and think shouldn't be missed.
(obviously only my opinion, but I'd rate both singleplayers > 9/10)

In reply to GUINEAPIGMON, #31:

Your call, but I personally found ME3 the best of the series. One of the best 360 games to date.
Don't worry about all this hype surrounding the ending if that is what's discouraging you. Despite the hype, most people liked it.

In reply to pheonix640, #33:

Bioshock 2 was great. Similar to bioshock, but with more useable weapons.
Slightly weaker story, but understandable as it would be hard to recreate the Atlas magic from bioshock.
Still worth a play. Gives you a lot of insight into other parts of Rapture and the origin of various characters.

nah the mass effect 3 ending did suck. I'm waiting for Prototype 2 to come down in price and I never really felt like bioshock 2.

I'll probably skip bioshock infinite because it takes part of what I liked about the original. Dark creepy hallways vs up in the clouds with outlandish robots. It may just be me but whatever.

I WOULD say MW3, but I've played through it, just no MP, and I don't own it.

Purposefully avoiding The Old Republic because I despise MMOs with a burning passion. I honestly would've preferred a KotOR III much more instead.

That being said, I'm also avoiding Battlefield 3 like it's a bad case of the Bubonic Plague. I had a terrible impression of it ever since the beta/demo, and it's never quite rubbed me any different than that ever since.

I have played all of the call of duty games, but I am done with them. Unless they take a year off, I seriously can't see myself playing another one. The last one I played only lasted 2 multiplayer matches and 2 story missions before I was annoyed and felt as if I had been playing it for years. In reality it was probably for that very reason; I have been playing the same game for years.

for me it was Portal and Portal 2! When Portal came out I thought aw it will just be a rubbish puzzle type game with no depth, then about 2 months ago I played it and totally loved it so Portal 2 is next on the list to buy. Also Bioshock, I read so many amazing reviews and just though, it doesn't look like I would enjoy it..then I bought it for really cheap and totally loved it.

Portal 2 is also very good, also it has Steven Merchant which is always nice. I got MW1 & 2 but I didn't get 3 because I think it'll be just the same as MW2.

Basically yea with new maps. I like 3 more than 2. Also helicopters get shoot down easier.

Hmm, I don't know how I'd feel about that. I mean I was an average player but when I did get the killstreaks I wanted them to be awesome. I guess it balances it more. They always dig that kinda thing.

There are many that can't be shot down like the stealth bomber or the airstrips. Juggernaut is fun.

I used to love Call of Duty but got fed up of buying what was to me the same thing most years! If they make a major change to it then ill buy it again. Not saying its rubbish i just got bored of it personally! :) I also avoid most american sports games because I don't really understand them haha. The exception being NBA 2k12

Yeah, the most awful thing is that we'll have to wait until war advances and people find a new way of killing each other so that we can get a fresh xbox experience with CoD. Semper Fi bitches.

I hear you on that. I kind of quit playing MW3 just because it was basically the same as MW2. Just update the graphics, add some new multiplayer modes and that's basically about it.

Dead Island,I bought it dirt cheap expecting to get chunk of quick playthrough achievements (and it looked pretty fun).
I don't know why I but it though because I am the worlds biggest wimp when it comes to scary games. After about 20 arm twitches, 5 jumping reflexes, and one full blown yell, I decided I should stay away from this until I can handle it.

(I yelled because I was pushing a beach ball around, it rolled towards a bush, foolish me went after. When I got to the horrible bush of horrific doom a zombie jumped out screaming. I too screamed, dropped my controller, scared my brother who was on the computer and almost fell out of my chair.)

I think Rooster Teeth need to give you your own show called Scared Quit! haha sounds awesome. Just get you to play scary games. I do feel your pain, I have jumped many a time to game because they like to surprise me.. I think Resident Evil 4 had me shitting myself most!

Oh man that would be awesome, except for the fact my job would be screaming and flinching with terror. I never got into Resident Evil but I've played it before and I do remember jumping quite a bit!

Not so much avoiding it, but a game i'm just too lazy to play is AC Revelations. I should hurry up and beat it considering AC3 is on the horizon.

I won't nuy anything from Blizzard just cause I don't want to get sucked into the Blizzard bandwagon and having to wait 15 years for the next installment

WoW. I was genuinely worried that if I started playing, i'd never STOP.

That goes for any MMO. I like games, I just don't want to live in one.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2. I like the fact that they are finally are trying something different, but I will be purposely avoiding this game. Halo > COD

Avoided Saints row the third, And all Call of Dutys that are in the modern day. Just prefer something that has a bit of sparkle to it. And I thought Saints lost its charm once it went to far.

Mass Effect 3 and AC: Revelations I waited until the semester was over or they were on sale. I usually wait a while on PS3 games since I only play singleplayer exclusive titles on there.

I rightly avoided MW3 when all of my friend quit on it after a month and I've yet to buy Minecraft because I can't justify paying $20 for a game of that low quality when I could get Trials Evolutions for the same price. I was in shock when my buddy told me it was that much, even laughed. Even more so when I learned it wasn't even up to the same point as the PC build.
