This is going to be one hell of a sonofabitch. I *think* that by ghosts it means that in the update, they will be putting in the option for people to drive ghosts in the last level. You can currently drive the Warthog, or a mongoose or choppers, so the ghosts will probably replace the choppers. Iron skull makes you restart from the beginning of the level. so that will be 100% insane, and worth at least 100 points, but it will sort out the men fron the boys, and the alkwardly feminine from the possibly canadian.
Run with everyone jam-packed together. Once in the danger zone, charge along the RIGHT wall, co-operatively blasting flood with weapons. Head towards structure from entry and split up. Use Block Recovery if needed. Destroy the flood just ahead, then, as a team, run along the edge of the first pathway. Duck and pop-up at the end to eliminate w/defence. Once you defeat the flood on the next path, take cover under the stairs and repeat till you reach the top. Hit the 'Hoard o'flood' checkpoint and jump off the entire structure as a team over the first walkway and wait two minutes. Head back up, eliminating any annoying flood if there's any and head on to the Activation unit. Defeat Mr. Spark. Take a left at the exit after some flood and down a bit and ride the Ghosts. From a distance eliminate the Sentinals and be careful not to fall. From here on stick as a team and use 'Hit n Run' tactics from here on. Then have a fun race to the finish, boosting whilst holding A. P.S: Flood puppies can't flip Ghosts! Have fun!
It's not that hard to understand, you have to finish the last level with ecery person driving a ghost. It really isn't that hard to do if you have competent friends. And also regarding gamerscore, even though this doesn't give you any, bungie has said they they have something in store for people who complete the vidmaster challenge... so do it
This isn't as hard as it sounds, and it's unbelievably fun to do. Just stay at long range and stick together, and don't forget to back up if your shields fall. Auto-turrets are also a big help. Plasma rifles, brute shots, fuel-rod cannons, rocket launchers, shotguns, ARs and occasionally BRs are excellent weapons to use.
Spark isn't that hard, just make sure to stay against the door so he can't knock you off. People with shields should be in front of people without, making a "human shield" effort. Still, try to avoid every shot he makes, and let the person with the best aim grab the laser.
As for the escape scene, until you get through the door on the cliff, don't boost or you might fall off. Don't let anyone fall too far behind, and be absolutely sure everyone is in a Ghost at the end. Regroup at every checkpoint, and try to stay as close as possible to the other players. Watch for flying tiles, and don't stop if you're being shot at by Sentinels.
Also, Ghosts are hidden under the ramp to the left after you leave the control room.
I used that strategy and did it twice, both in about an hour with decent teammates, one of which didn't have a mic.
first off, if you were a vidmaster, you wouldn't care about the gamerscore =P
secondly, there are ghosts in halo, but they're only available if you're playing 4 player coop on legendary difficulty
and turning on the iron skull in a coop game will cause all players to return to the previous checkpoint if just one of them dies, instead of the beginning of the level in solo coop
Once you've got the ghosts this won't be too bad but the beginning of the level is a bit of a bitch. I also don't know who I'm going to get to do this for 0G.
I did it. The ghosts are actually always there. Even before the update. There were 4 ghosts and to be honest. It is a son of a bitch. Staying together while everything is going on proves to be way more difficult then originally thought out. And just so you know, Iron only makes you go back to the beginning of a level when you are playing by yourself. When in a group, it just sends you back to the last checkpoint. So it's actually not that hard.
WOOO I was so happy yesterday when I got this :D took us 2:23:28 though o.o damn you iron skull and the random falling panels that just kept killing us when they shot horizontal and crushed our ghosts XDDDD anyway I hope it give you armor when u get all of the achievements
ok me and my friends beat this mission on legendary with the iron skull on and it was hard as fuck. the ppl who beat the game are RazerBlade94, RazerBlade94(1), BannerApollo, and KillerIsOnline. Im am RazerBlade94 and look on my file share and u will see the vid. It took us over 3hours but we did it. So RvB i have a video so plz check it out.
This achievement took about 2 hours because some guy's kid brother wanted to play. When we were killing the flood I had the hammer and he wanted it, so he team-killed to get it, which restarted us. Every time. Until he learned, an hour later, why it wasn't working. Then we made fun of him the whole way through the ghost part, and he started crying. As revenge he plummeted jihad-suicide style over any edge he could find. Right when we were about to finish he hit the brakes and we were sent back again.
Christ that kid was annoying. All the more reason for kids to not play online.
i got this achievement the the second day it was available, the first time i did this one it took me over 2 hours, the shortest time ive done this achievement in is approxamitely 30 minutes, and now im helping everyone get this achievement if they want to get it my gamertag is bulldogdrop i have 3 others but ill just say one of them for now
I just read Bungie.net, and it said that these achievements are the first steps towards being able to unlock Recon armor for yourself in the upcoming Halo 3: Recon game. Check it out for yourselfes!
Man, when my Family and I did this one we never worked more cooperatively. We were side by side, executing tactical maneuvers to kill all the flood before we moved on to the next part, we only died a handful of time getting to the top. Then the Ghost part, we were flawless on the Ghosts untill we took one of the big jumps and found out they dont jump too far O.o All and all it was a fun Achievement.
